I believe in a universe that doesn't care, and people that do.

Pedantry, a need for validation of their anime-liking, a reductionist view of Japanese pop culture and arts. I can only guess.

"I think he's a bad enough person to stay ghost through his sheer love of child-killing."

Anime is a tonal thing as much as it is a visual thing imo. Like in the same way that, say, western mystery fiction can get very derivative of itself, there's a body of Japanese media that has become super derivative of itself in repeating these same narratives and characters. It's a genre as much as it is a term for "Japanese animation", I think, which is how you can find some examples of Japanese animation/games/comics that despite being from the same industry feel very un-anime, on account of not belonging to that particular genre and drawing on other sources instead.

If you liked RTS games with 'War' in the title, then these three games were released within one week of each other:

And on September 20th, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne patch 1.17 added two new Neutral Heroes, the Firelord and the Goblin Alchemist.

Why do you guys always do this when people say something is too anime. Literally everyone else in the world knows exactly what is meant by that, but this thread has to split hairs over it.

Except I literally never know what people mean by it, I've seen it used as shorthand for tropey, perverted, or in incredibly rare cases as an actual art style.

It also leads to incredibly asinine statements about how a game where the artwork was done by Akira Toriyama is somehow not anime, so it's the stupidest thing.

So in Zelda (minor gameplay thing) I was out loving around at night, and saw a falling star... and then I followed where it fell and after a while of walking found it on the ground and picked it up.
