“His theory was that there was this island with these cavemen on it, and basically a car would go there and pick one out. The caveman would plug their spines into the inside of the car and work as part of the brain (you can see the actual brain on top of the caveman’s head). And that’s how the car can move around, because a caveman is in there attached to the brain and manually turning the wheel. As you can see the tires have bones in them and everything. I'm listening to the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack previews on iTunes (although I think I saw the full tracks up on Disney's Vevo YouTube page in the last few hours) - does Emma Watson sound autotuned to anyone else?

Anyway my bf said he'd get the CD for me on the way home from work :3:

Google Play has the entire soundtrack up.

I'm actually quite happy with Gaston's song. Very happy.

Josh Gad was born to play LeFou though. Holy poo poo can he sing.

I do appreciate that, thank you :3:

By complete collection do you mean... every game? That's got to be like... a thousand or more.

There's around ~400 retail 3DS games. Last time I checked, I was just under 50% of the way there. The original DS had like two thousand games, and there's a ton of shovelware garbage. No way I'm gonna attempt to complete that. Thankfully, by the time 3DS came out, a majority of shovelware migrated to smartphones. Doesn't make it any less embarrassing to buy the Bratz and anime titty witch games, but thankfully there's much less of it.

Olaf is a conduit for the other characters and revealing about Elsa. He makes it clear that Elsa has not actually let go of her past relationships as well as reminding us that her magic isn't completely frightening and terrible (I mean, depends about how you feel about the snowman I guess). Modern Disney also has a streak of challenging the desires of its characters. The Disney Renaissance was heavily about your dreams coming true. In Modern Disney, happiness is achieved but often through the lesson that the thing you thought you wanted was flawed. Olaf's whole summer song is pretty representative of Disney's modern ethos even if the ending arguably betrays that.

Just saw lego batman

I'd say it's on point about Batman. Basically the way people write Batman they intend him to be the best at everything and the darkest loner and they end up writing something that's not unlike the dipshit in this movie who can't even do detective work beyond typing things into google. I've seen batfamily characters who were written out and had detractors because no one is allowed to be better at anything than Batman even if it costs them everything.

But anyway, wasn't quite as funny as I was hoping but an alright movie. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for it or needed to see it with Batman nerds who'd get all the references. Like seeing Harley Quinn actually using legitimate psychiatric skills was so much more entertaining for me than probably anyone else in the audience.

Sym-Bionic Titan would have probably been remembered much more fondly if it came out half a decade earlier.

As it happened, it was a mostly average show that didn't quite have the style of Samurai Jack, didn't quite have the humor of Dexter's Lab, and didn't quite have the character of the Powerpuff Girl's. It started to find it's footing just in time for it to not be renewed.

Sort of reminds me of Jack, when you put it like that. :v:

I've been re-watching the series, and past the introductory movie, I'd say something like half of the first season's episodes were totally forgettable or kinda bad, but it managed to start getting solid again towards the end... And then nearly everything from S2 and beyond was pure gold.

Oh god, it was a pretty thing! I'm also fascinated with how they're going to use their longer leash: It looks like they're taking a tempered approach and weaving it into Jack's broken psyche, which is absolutely the way to do it. "Nuts and bolts. Nuts and bolts." And then not nuts and bolts. :stare:

I'm scared to not spoiler with specifics since this technically isn't a SJ thread and it's still very fresh.
