From what I can grok, though, it's only for "Friends of the Tivoli" cardholders (gently caress if I know anything about that), so I need to call them up and see what the deal is.

Logan was decent. Some great action. Unfortunately going to see it meant I saw the Ghost in the Shell trailer. Ew.  I'm still gonna go see it opening weekend, but. After being disappointed I didn't see the quote in HUNDU's old title while watching Belly, I accidentally found it while watching Menace II Society tonight. Great drat movie, it's one of those rare films that was so actively entertaining that I didn't really try to look at it critically.

No, I'm compelled to watch it so I can give informed criticism. As a huge fan of the franchise, I want to be able to make an informed opinion and understand other people's opinions in the context of having seen it myself. If it sucks, and it probably will, I want to be avle to articulate the correct reasons why it does. And there might be good aspects to it which are interesting anyway. There 4 iterations of GitS already, each of which bring something different to the table. The most recent was already garbage, so I have some hope that this will be better than that.
