JawnV6 posted:"frontline manager directly portions out bonuses" seems like a good recipe for backstabbin this is how it commonly works though? most companies have an individual component and a company performance component, and the individual component comes out of a real tight budget allocated by organizational unit either your boss or his boss is gonna have to make choices about who gets the biggest chunks out of a very limited bonus pool. (someone real drat close to the ground, anyway) it's in your best interest to make sure your boss knows how you feel about your job prospects vis a vis bonus sizes

Today's on-site trip report: I think one of the five interviewers was a goon. Felt like it went pretty well. They seem to be working on some cool stuff. Everyone seemed genuinely happy. Functional language on the back-end is a plus. Also I didn't feel the overwhelming sense that they're going to a miss paycheck like I'm getting at my current place

My journey trying to follow up with Quantum Spatial continues. All their main and aux offices phone menus redirect to the Lexington office if you want to talk directly to a human being. That person is not there at 11am, nor are they there at 2pm. I will try at 12pm I guess. Guy on my slack was unable to find any of his QS colleagues at the esri convention he was at. Maybe they all just disappeared at once in january? edit: Margaret was also not there at noon. moron izzard fucked around with this message at 17:01 on Mar 17, 2017 |
