From what I’ve read, people have huge areas of their own property they don’t dare go on to.
I would think they would welcome a wall.

I think this administration’s mistake was issuing the second executive order before Gorsuch was approved for the SC putting the Court back to 5 to 4 because these cases are forum shopped in the liberal 9th circuit which has an 80 percent reversal rate when the SC is 5-4 conservative.The 9th circuit will uphold this district court’s ruling and we will have to wait until Gorsuch is on the bench to get it reversed. Hopefully that will be in April.

I think their mistake was listening to the first judge. The Constitution gives the President the authority to enact the laws as HE sees fit. He is not beholden to the court’s interpretation, HE is the arbiter. All the court can do is strike down the law by finding it unConstitutional...which it isn’t.

As I understand it, this ban is executed on foreign soil. I have not heard a thing about this as a possible ace in the hole. Can he just not issue a visa - and can a judge order it?
But most assuredly, no matter what Trump's lawyers take to these judges, he will not be granted what the law says. So what is he going to do? Keep issuing a directive and keep getting smacked down? It makes him look impotent.

When faced with the prospect that their beloved candidate is loving everything up, they instead continue to demonize Obama and find ways to blame him for every ill they suffer. The Clintons get the same treatment, which is easier for them to justify because the family has been involved in politics for decades.

How much traction is a conspiracy theory were ~*global warming is real*~ going to get? We're perpetually running around stomping on bullshit, that's like rule #1 of what not to do when you're getting trolled. Add to that the fact that every denial only reinforces the beliefs more in a growing segment of the population. In the 9 years I've been following this thread I've watched freep-think go from a tiny shithole on the internet to becoming mainstream. Things have changed. It took the alt-right time to realize that you could weaponize trolling on a large scale and have real world impact but now that they've done it I have no idea how to counter it. You can't just fight lies with more lies, once people lose all confidence in the democratic process you lost by default. They don't have to win most people over, they just have to make most people apathetic towards democracy because there's nothing in it for them.
Maybe there is no effective counter and only a change of the underlying economic circumstances will take the wind out of their sails. Fat chance of that with the current mainstream parties in the West. Ultimately "it's the economy, stupid".

The right is much more tuned into the biased media bubble than the left. More than just needing a lot of propaganda for your side, you also need to insulate the people against any other views. Overall, it's much more likely that a right-wing person is going to be paying attention exclusively to heavily slanted media sources than a left-wing person will (who's likely to keep up with the mainstream news). This is precisely what makes them so difficult to reach.

It's a really lovely situation in any case.
The research in that case is based on looking at a variety of Twitter and Facebook users and seeing what they link or retweet. When the resulting connections are placed in the bubble showing how everything is networked, the right-wing sector is mostly off in a fairly insular bubble centered around Breitbart while the left-wing sector pays more heed to the mainstream.

True, but given his medical history it's likely he'll be needing more medical care soon, unless he won the lottery chances are he'll be joining Dale Reed. Which he seems to consider a fair price to live in an ideologically pure world.
