did you even turn off the built-in lag compensation?

There is a calibration option that is set to +200ms/300ms or something in Voez phone version.
I turned it off (set to 0) on my 6P because I was getting that issue.

Anyways according to reports I've heard the option is not necessary for the Switch though I'm still unsure if I'm picking it up. I need to figure out how many songs their are and if it will get the song updates the phone version will (which interestingly enough has an unlock all songs button for the low low price of $115!)

Also the game gets hard in an interesting way once they start moving the lanes as notes come down.

By the way, does anyone else just prefer to use the joycons detached from anything over the controller shaped cradle thing? I removed the docking bracket from the controller cradle thing for the sole purpose of keeping the joycons together in a bag that's too small to comfortably keep the switch+cons in one superwide format.

Which is to say yes, the separate joycons are fantastic and I can barely use my xbox controller anymore because it feels so weird in comparison now

Although I've never dipped my toe into Pop'n, I've been playing rhythm games since the DDR 3rd/USA days and have more hours in Rock Band than I'd like to think about... That said, precision is really important to me in these types of games and Voez appears to be pretty precise. The only one negative I'd bring up is that there isn't a particularly good system for letting you know how accurate you are with your taps... You'll getting to the end and maybe you have a full combo but only then do you have any idea of how many perfects, greats, and goods you've racked up.

For $25 you get 116 tracks... It's a pretty great value on Switch.

I'm strongly under the impression that they developed and playtested this game exclusively on full RGB monitors, because there's clearly more contrast on the Switch's own screen. It does tend to look washed out most of the time on my TV, although it's less offensive at sunset and night time. Turning full RGB on makes it look better even though my TV doesn't suppprt it AFAIK.

Full RGB on a tv that does not support it does make the colors much less hazy, at the expense of making anything dark extra shadowy. Pick your poison I guess.

The visual feedback on taps is different depending on how precise you were. I think it goes Rainbow -> Orange -> Blue -> Grey, in descending order.

Got my screen protector and cheap rear end 3-port hdmi switcher deliveriea in the same day. Applied the screen protector via the bathroom method, plugged my poo poo in and plopped the switch in it's dock. I thought I'd only play zelda in handheld mode, but I could get used to this! TV mode is pretty sweet too!

Though it did noticeably lag at a point or two when it was on the TV, and I've had no issues in handheld mode.

Well, you have the most perfect game of all time in your AV, but you still have some pretty poo poo opinions, so you'd know I guess. :v:

I realize it's subjective, but I think gyro aiming is the best (for me) because (for me) it's the most fun not efficient or accurate or whatever. Playing a shooter with a mouse just feels wrong and bad to me like playing street fighter with a keyboard or something. You might get better "results" but I play games for the experience more than for my accuracy % or whatever, and I just like controllers better than mouse/keyboard for anything but RTS and point-n-click SCUMM type games.

As far as I can tell, there's no guide really necessary for elixirs beyond:
1. The more, higher-quality monster parts you use in an elixir the longer the duration of the effect.

2. The more creatures you use in the potion the more powerful the effect, as far as it can stack (maximum stack for a buff is visible on the pause screen). 1-2 creatures = 1 stack, 3 creatures = 2 stacks, 4+ creatures = 3 stacks.

3. Monster part "quality" seems to be 100% "horns < (other parts) < guts", with no apparent duration difference between using bokoblin parts vs. lynel parts (it might affect the sell price of the end result though). So always use common guts if you have them, teeth if you're in a pinch, horns if you're really in a pinch. Don't use anything from rarer mobs unless you know you don't need those for gear upgrades.

4. You can toss in things like acorns to make the elixir heal you as well, but why you would want to sacrifice efficacy or duration for a couple hearts in an elixir is beyond me.

So with that, if you want a +1 movement speed potion that'll last awhile, use 1 Hot Foot Frog and 4 of whatever guts you have the most of. If you want a +3 movement speed potion use 4 frogs and 1 gut, but it probably* won't last nearly as long.

*Making things slightly more of a headache for testing is the fact that elixirs and food can randomly proc bonuses, so your +1 haste potion could randomly be a +2 or +3, or your +3 haste potion could randomly have double the duration, or either one could randomly have some bonus healing properties. Cooking during blood moon increases (guarantees?) the chances of bonus procs.

The official guide has descriptions next to each material and all recipes (or at least a gently caress ton of them). Also, https://www.chefofthewild.com has a materials section, but it is a work in progress and many materials are lacking descriptions still, nor does it have all recipes yet.

I don't expect it to be a reliable predictor, but does anyone remember the file size being big for Mario Kart 8? After all, the series is the gold standard for drunk couch multiplayer.

Quickly looked it up and apparently the base game was 4.9GB while the patches and DLC came in around the low end of 900 MB. I'm guessing the new content will bump that up quite a bit though.
