There's nothing wrong with cheesecake, it's just when the female characters in your show or movie exist solely to provide said cheesecake that it sucks, and Agents of SHIELD has a pretty stellar cheesecake/legit character moment ratio.

It's not quite reached the same level as Arrow though. They should have a cross-over based entirely around the salmon bars.

I doubt it took much convincing by an agent, if there was any at all, to not use "Wang" as a professional name in America.

Yes. The reason she changed her name probably isn't that the audience is biased against Chinese people and their names. Chloe Bennet sounds just way cooler while Chloe Wang is simply a name which wouldn't really get publicity in Hollywood. (At least not the good kind). And a huge amount of artist names are made up, to the point where no one would even know the original one. Just ask Norma Jean Mortensen, Joaquin Rafael Bottom, Mark Sinclair Vincent or Olivia Jane Cockburn.

I legit just started re-watching AOS again. Even AOS at its worse isn't as bad as Iron Fist. The first two episodes are loving awful.

Mid Iron First spoilers: You mean *I* have more experience fighting The Hand than you do?

VVVV You have to break it down a bit. It goes

DD Season 1 First Half > DD Season 2 First Half > Jessica Jones > Iron Fist (scenes that include Claire) > Luke Cage > DD Season 1 Second Half > DD Season 2 Second Half > Iron Fist (scenes that don't include Claire)

Is each Netflix show worst than the last? It seems like it might go DD season 1 > Jessica Jones > DD season 2 > Luke Cage > Iron Fist
With Legion and AoS both hovering around the DD season 1 range if not better.

As for Iron fist it sounds so uninteresting I dunno if I even wanna watch it.

Butt first, let's
check the feeds.

Haven't seen Iron Fist yet, its next on my list.

I probably rank them Jessica Jones > DD S1 > Luke Cage > DD S2. Cage and DD S2 are close but pretty similar. I enjoy the first half and the second half is a bit of a mess. But I LOVED the first half of Cage.

DD S1 is the only one I've watched more than once and I kind of don't really think my opinions get firm until a rewatch. I'm tentatively planning to just marathon the whole lot before Defenders.

I like my hero shows, warts and all. And street level heroes were always my favorite.

Iron Fist is so agonizingly mediocre. I don't know if it's the writing, the directing or Finn Jones' acting, but it's actively making me hate Danny Rand as a character. He's such a whiny tantrum-throwing eastern philosophy spouting hipster fuckwit. None of the fight scenes are remotely exciting, it's like a bunch of slap fights without any weight to it, which is mindboggling since it's such an important part of the show and Danny's make-up. And man do character motivations change on a dime from episode to episode. There's no sense of cohesion to the series. I'd rather watch AoS season 1 repeatedly than force myself to finish this.

Snowglobe of Doom

If completionists really feel they need to watch Iron Fist so they're up to date with all the Defenders they could give episode 1 a try and see how they like it. If it doesn't float their boat they could just read all the episode descriptions on Wikipedia for eps 2 - 12 and skip straight to watching episode 13 and they wouldn't miss much.

Yakmouth

I'm still working through Iron Fist but I'm liking it lots.

It's an Origin Story, exactly like Luke Cage, JJ and S1 Daredevil was.

I can sort of understand the hate, but I don't share it.

(AoS is better, but it's had four years to figure itself out).

Yes.

Honestly, I'm not hating it. I wouldn't even say I dislike it. But while you could get away with Finn Jones if Danny were better fleshed out, or maybe ignore the poor characterization if the actor knocked it out of the park and the fight scenes were excellent, you just can't overcome Finn Jones coupled with shoddy characterization.

Loving Ward, though.
