Thanks, the Betrayers quest was the exact one that was giving me problems. I am definitely enjoying the game when I'm pushing forward the main plot (and hearing new music tracks!) so maybe I will just keep doing that for a while

It's definitely stupid that Nier has quests where all you can do is save and reload to get enemies to spawn so you can kill them for sidequests. Like how hard is that to patch.

I didn't even read it all. Me:A looks like absolute poo poo though. The whole animation department should be shot. There was talk in here a while ago about how lots of western Devs are really lazy with animations and ME:A literally looks worse in that respect than games that came out ten years ago.

I'm honestly somewhat glad I didn't have the opportunity to play the original Nier and instead watched an LP in prep for Automata. I dunno if I'd have had the patience to wade through it for all the endings which is unfortunate because they're really worth seeing. I'm having enough fun with Automata that at least for now I'm intending to 100% it.
