I'm really not sure what supply does. They really don't seem to want to procure supplies, though. I've never seen an O-1 reject an O-6's direction. Who knew the #2 guy he wasn't high enough to sign a purchase order?

Why would meth heads buy anything other than meth or supplies for meth? If anything the supply guys would be meth heads selling poo poo to milsurp stores for meth money.

So my roommate has hired a nanny for her baby and the girl is a medically separated recruit from Parris Island. She seems fine as a nanny but she chose to not pursue benefits after allegedly being involved with an assault at boot camp that got her medically separated. Either I, or she, is the idiot. Time and the background check will tell.

Took the discharge a few months after boot claiming trauma from being raped by a camp doctor. Her roommate and fellow div painted a much different story but figured if someone didn't want to be in the navy that bad it was just as well and didn't report her wildly inappropriate activities.

Including having to be stuck in broke dick platoons until the determination is made of what to do.

Crossposted from the Army thread, since it belongs here too. I have some retardery updates for you guys. Back in September I sent a letter to goddamned everybody from the Secretary of Defense on down saying "Army suicide prevention is broken, Army casualty assistance is broken, DA civilians give no fucks, it's all poo poo, unfuck it." I got a reply from one of my senators first. The letter expressed condolences and promised they'd contact the VA about my case. Uhhh, what? I contacted them and said "no, not the VA, the Army." No reply. A week later I called and said "yeah, no, Army, not VA" and got an email that said "Army, not VA, got it." A few weeks later I got a call from the VA. "Yeah, we got a call from your senator's office but we don't know why." So after a couple months of calling, I finally managed to talk to the case manager at my senator's office and learned a few things: 1) My case worker, for whatever reason, keeps forgetting to tell me she's still actively working on this 2) Every time my case worker contacts the Army about this, the Army says "contact the VA." So second part of this story: In response to the copy of the letter I sent to the Secretary of the Army, I got a reply from some DA civilian who runs some resiliency program or other that was a nicely worded letter about "suicide prevention and casualty assistance are important to us" but didn't really address anything I had to say other than "we know we can always do better." Then at the end of the letter, it goes on to thank me and SGT [NOT MY WIFE'S NAME] for our service and sacrifices. So I reply with a strongly worded letter about how the letter I received underscores the point of "nobody gives a gently caress" I was trying to make in my letter. In response to that, I got a phone call from the executive officer to the Army G-1 saying "if you need anything, this is my phone number and e-mail address." So to tie this all together, since he's pretty much my only POC in the Army (and XO to the G-1 isn't a bad ear to have) I sent him an email saying "every time my senator contacts the Army on this issue, some chucklefuck tells them to bother the VA instead, WTF." What I've learned from all this, largely, is that DA civilians give absolutely no fucks whatsoever. Someone in uniform will go out of their way to help. Which is kind of counter to my previous experience, now that I think about it.

This sounds like an actual policy the DOD would develop and adopt. Mainly because it completely ignores how being wrapped up in bureaucracy is in its self a significant trigger for suicidal idealizations.

I did the reasonable adult thing and contacted the hospital administrator, who took care of it. What I should have done was sent the hospital an invoice for fair market value of the organs.

The idiots are the dumb motherfuckers who keep asking why I'm getting out while I'm sitting here with a denied leave request a month after I was told I needed to take more leave since I haven't taken leave since August. Never mind I have 20+ days use/lose and and upcoming deployment. As I sit here with my denied leave request looking at past schedules with someone in the same department taking leave in December, January, February, and March they are still asking me why I'm getting out.... Use it or lose it leave is the shittiest labour policy. It's basically an org going "we owe you this money and we decided we're not going to pay you". gently caress that. Also there's nothing better than giving notice and getting a bunch of cash to leave when they pay out your annual that you were never able to take.

You can only be paid out for 60 days when you separate. I lost about a month on top of that. And on top of taking leave.
