VPNs could already sell your stuff, and did. Especially the free ones. This definitely opens up a market for trusted VPNs and ISPs. Any recommendations for a good paid VPN service that has a reputation for being trusted?

There's a lot of factors to consider with VPNs. This guy does a good job of breaking down choices. https://thatoneprivacysite.net/vpn-comparison-chart/ Here's a direct link to an XLSX comparison: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1L72gHJ5bTq0Djljz0P-NCAaURrXwsR1MsLpVmAt3bwg/export?format=xlsx I went with Trust.Zone for my needs, but PIA has been rated pretty well.

They're an American company as well, which means they don't have to follow EU data retention laws, so they don't keep any records on you at all. Cheap too, it's like $40 a year or so. If you want netflix or something though you'll need to use uhhhh, Torguard or whatever the name is and pay for a dedicated IP. PIA won't let you do that. On the other hand, it's piss easy to turn on and off, and you can set it up to run the minute you start your computer as well.

Reverand maynard posted:Iran isn't that loving stupid. Its really the only option they have if Trump knocking on their doorstep. Nobody wants to be the next Saddam of Gaddafi. No one stands a chance in conventional engagement, but being the underdog means they can threaten nuclear deployment and not be any worse off in conflict than they already would be. The deterrent in this case is still a lose lose for them, but now at least they can make it visibly too costly for America to strike in the first place. They've already shown large scale cooperation and smuggling between themselves and the DPRK on military tech.

I got to visit a lot of elderly, poor and chronically ill relatives in WV, KY and OH this past week. There was a lot of Trump support talk from that crowd, and the only thing nearly as depressing as realizing all my 2nd and 3rd cousins are gonna die young is that people swore the coal trucks and train cars were "running more already". The mines are coming back, if only we cling to Trump. The reason for the visit was a funeral for one of these chronically ill folks. Most of the people I met who are financially secure have government jobs (police, fire, social services etc)
