Asides from the bugs, I am enjoying this. Also I noticed there's a modifier you can put on a gun during crafting that changes its ammo system to ME1 style dissipating heatsink.

Just fought the architect on Eos at like level 13 or so. I've been pouring most of my skill points into tech, and my shield and health are incredibly low (like 500 health and maybe 300 shields) compared to the teammates. Is there something I'm missing? I've put in points in other areas but I can't find any perks that significantly boost shields/health. I'm rank 2 engineer, or whatever the turret class is.

The passive combat traits boost health, the passive biotics traits boost shields, the passive tech traits boost your party and your summons. You're meant to spread your points around at least a little bit even if you're focusing in one area.

Never stay in one spot more than 2-3 seconds. Run circles around him, stay out of the red/blue blast, you can run fast enough to stay in front of his chain gun. Ignore cover except when fighting the trash mobs, but even then you will have to stay mobile. Use your jump to get out of bad poo poo. Damage all his three legs and the mouth regularly when available, it makes the phases later on a lot faster, when you have to deal with 1/3 of a leg instead of a full leg in the worse positions he gets in. While doing your circles regularly hit up the resupply chests as needed, it's a rather long fight after all. This way your health doesn't matter much, since you shouldn't really get hit at all unless you screw up and get greedy (like I did early on).

Okay, just making sure it wasn't taking so long because I was low level. Took me a couple tries but I figured out the method eventually. I'll also start spreading my points around a bit more.

Kurtofan posted:what's planet viability like, side quests and such? They're alright. General idea on a new planet is (gameplay tips) to beeline to the three Remnant towers, solve the puzzles on each (some just require scanning instead of alien sudoku), then pop the terraforming trigger in the Remnant vault while escaping the death cloud. That'll get 50% viability there, plus it'll neutralize the main threat on the planet (toxic water, extreme heat, etc.) After that, there are usually one or two major conflicts to resolve, many story-driven, and that'll get you to ~70-90%. The rest is normal kill/fetch sidequests. Story-wise they aren't amazing but they're adequate. I've genuinely liked a few.

5 years to build a pile of poo poo. Question: had they spent those 5 years unifying the original three games. Fleshing them out. Fixing the horrible writing flaws that filled up the 3rd game and to smaller extent the 2nd. Written an ending. Done all those things to make the ultimate ME experience. Would that have been a more popular game? I think so. I know a ton of people would buy an enhanced ultimate edition. But instead they shat all over the legacy even more than ME3 did.

I'm sure this has come up, but what am I supposed to do with this garbage inventory limit? I know there are some ways to increase it, but can/should I just sell or deconstruct the poo poo that counts toward the limit that I don't want or need anymore? Or maybe there's some better storage system to stash poo poo in that I missed? This might be the most persistently annoying problem I have with the game.

I really enjoy playing Ryder mostly Logical/Professional, using Emotional when people need some realtalk, and VERY occasionally Casual for people who badly need to be mocked/insulted/told to gently caress off (Sloane/Prefect). It makes the snark and sass mean something when it does get employed.

What's everyone's favorite build for pure biotic space wizardry? I'm currently on pull / throw (with primer evo) / lance (no cd w shields for ammo) but I'm wondering if I should replace throw with singularity Also how do I get enough Milky Way research to get the N7 biotic boost armor set? I'm fine if the answer is cheating but I'm old someone will have to explain how.

I know pretty much any build you could conceive of works fine in this game, but I'm wondering what people have found to be fun. Right now I'm rocking a pretty spastic style as a sentinel with charge, energy drain, incinerate, a cryo melee and shotgun. Tech armor doesn't work quite like it did in the earlier games (I think it gives you DR when your shields are down?), but overall I'm enjoying high mobility burst damage. Does anyone have experience with explorer? Seems like an easy one to get into and the class bonuses look good, especially later in the game with higher ranks in it. Are there any major glitches with the biotic blink ability?

Resource gathering sucks. *edit - Amish Ninja posted:I know pretty much any build you could conceive of works fine in this game, but I'm wondering what people have found to be fun.
