OXBALLS DOT COM posted:What? No i seriously have no memory who this person is Megaspel posted:Everyone's got some stink, but this is exactly like Alison Rapp, she worked at Nintendo, some people got angry that a localization she was part of reduced cleavage of an underage character, so they took her thesis out of context and used it to smear her as a pedo. I'm sure if a kiwifarms or whoever focused their efforts on you, they could find something in your past to tangentially relate you to pedophilia, that they'd then use to smear you with. You're feeding the doxxers and harassers by reposting their poo poo.sh She was a Nintendo of America employee moonlighting as web model, who in fact was actually moonlighting as a full blown prostitute under the name Maria Mint. She also had a thesis arguing for "less strict legislation against the simple possession of child pornography", heres the context for you to judge what she meant by that : quote:I side with the camp that argues not only for less strict legislation against the simple possession of child pornography (the creation and dissemination of child pornography depicting real children is a whole other matter entirely), but also for the abatement of the pressure put on Japan for its "lax" and rarely enforced laws. Clearly, shaming Japanese politicians like Keiji Goto in Japan's National Police Agency, or allowing Western media to trivialize Japan's positions on child pornography as being blatantly and perversely anti-child, will ameliorate the conditions of children all over the world—not in Japan, not in Eastern Europe, not in Africa, and not in the United States or Western Europe. The conditions that encourage child abuse, child prostitution, and child trafficking, likely have little, if nothing, to do with people possessing even a morally questionable type of media. Instead of directing its efforts at wiping out child pornography (especially child pornography depicting fictional children, being that there is almost no proof that real children are ever harmed in the creation, distribution, or possession of it), nations like the United States should be focused on improving domestic healthcare options, educational opportunities, job markets, and other social, political, and economic solutions that quantifiably help keep children (and adults at-risk) out of illegal and damaging exploitative situations. Japan has already this; and, being that Japan has signed the United Nation's Convention on the Rights of the Child, and has a much lower rate of child abuse than many Western states, I believe it is time for the United States and other countries to learn from their Eastern neighbor: Censoring media, however questionable, does not solve societal ills.

I thought this was Gersh Kuntzman, the NY Daily News writer who got "temporary PTSD" after firing an assault rifle at a firing range in laughably stupid editorial on gun shooting and why it is bad. It would have been funny if it was him but it wasn't.

A lot of people get triggered into literally shaking from things they read on the internet. Does that count too or does it have to be epilepsy related?

ArbitraryC posted:8 minutes of seizing It was called a tonic-clonic seizure when I was trained in administering the anal benzos, but he's right and seizures can certainly last that long. During the training they stressed how important it was for us to mark how long it lasted because there really isn't any way outside of witnessing the episode to know, and it's kind of important when determining what treatments options might be needed. If he's claiming he had an 8 minute seizure but nobody called an ambulance, that'd be a bit suspicious. It sounds like he was seen by a doctor afterwards so it's entirely possible this event went down the way he said it did.
