You don't have to worry about snacking between meals if you just continuously eat all day long even on the toilet.

For me, drinking more water has really helped. I realized just recently that I've probably been dehydrated my whole life and I was mistaking thirst for hunger. I've improved some digestive issues, too.

I replaced all my snacks with fresh fruit which helped a lot. At one point I was eating like 7 apples a day though, so I had to cut down on that too.

I used to have absolutely massive meals because I was hungry! Now I have a granola or fruit bar about an hour before eating, and my meals became a lot smaller. I'm still a massive fat-rear end, but less-so, and now need to focus more on exercise. Congrats on your success, 30 pounds isn't a small thing

At first it wasnt so much to stick to strictly as it was to see how many calories I was actually taking in and attempt portion control. After a bit I started avoiding high calorie foods that I knew didnt really satisfy me and my concept of what makes a portion for various foods is getting much better. I also run 3 times a week for 30 minutes besides a daily set of 40 pushups/situps. Not exactly hitting the gym up.

My problem with exercise is I've got a hip with a bunch of screws and two plates, as well as an ankle with some screws and a plate. The ligaments in my leg don't work right; the muscle is fine, but the ligaments don't stretch the way they're supposed to, which limits the things I can do pretty heavily.

You don't necessarly need to eat less, you need to eat smarter. Once you start to calculate where the calories you eat come from, you can start replacing the high calorie stuff with lower calorie alternatives. Like, we used to eat Alfredo sauce on pasta once per week, 1 portion was 100ml heavy cream (240kcal), 25g parmesan (100kcal) and 20g butter (140kcal), which is like 500kcal on top of the 450kcal in the pasta itself. A marinara sauce on the other hand is just tomatoes and things, and contains less than 100kcal per portion.
