Question, if you buy an older chrysler brand truck and it's problem free until you get rid of it, did you DODGE any problems? (I'm not sorry. Yes I know it's terrible. Consider what thread this is)

I know a guy who has a brand-new Ram and it's giving him sensor faults, to which the dealer replied "that's a common thing". I'm pretty sure Chrysler needed a gimmick, so they got the worst Lucas employees and hired them to work on FCA electronics. We have self-driving Teslas with full electric drive trains, and Chrysler still can't figure out 1980's tech.

The Chevy Equinox is GM's entry into one of the most important segments in the market right now, and yet they let the last gen Equinox sit on the market for 7 years without a redesign until this year to the bafflement of the whole industry - for comparison Honda puts out a new CRV every 3 years, surprisingly enough the CRV is the perennial segment sales leader.. It's finally out and it turns out that GM's original design for the new Equinox was so bad that they had to start over with a new design, that probably set the program back 2 or 3 years. http://www.autonews.com/article/20170327/OEM03/303279965/early-veto-reshaped-chevys-new-equinox quote:Three years ago, General Motors showed drawings of a new design for the Chevrolet Equinox, its top-selling crossover, to consumer focus groups. They weren't impressed. The old GM would have just kept going and built the car even though everyone hated it. The new GM will actually fix it before putting it into production. Good old American ingenuity wins again.

This is the company that at the last minute downsized their full size offerings in the early 60s because the president overhead Ed Cole talking about a new smaller chevy at a garden party and assumed he was their full size model. Its always been a mess.

Guys im so sorry. I was super wrong. It was the S class, AND E class. The LX was developed in America to supersede the previous Chrysler LH platform, which had been designed to allow it to be easily upgraded to rear and all-wheel drive. Mercedes designs were used, including the Mercedes-Benz W220 S-class control arm front suspension, the Mercedes-Benz W211[1] E-Class 5-link rear suspension, the firewall and floor pan, the W5A580 5-speed automatic, the rear differential, and the ESP system. My point was that it could've made a decent car but didn't in agreement with the post I originally quoted. But it doesn't matter because the 'urban' market bought millions of them and now the designer is head of design for all of FIAT. Preoptopus fucked around with this message at 17:07 on Mar 29, 2017 |

Hey, hey, watch the Netflix documentary. No seriously, that's what is brought up by the guy who designed it. Indirectly brought up, IIRC, he says it has street cred and talks about rappers in them, but I distinctly remember the shot of one driving through a city at night while he talked about it Even though I HATE the car he builds in it, his design ideologies seem sound
