Look it's simple. You can only counter punches to the left of the screen or done with the left arm, if they're either the same, or different if you're player 2 on either side or player 1 but only on the right side. If you counter 2 punches in a round, or 3 in a match, or 1 and then activate Vtrigger (but not 1 DURING Vtrigger) you can counter all punches and most kicks but no headbutts until the other player does any two (2) of the following:
a) wins
b) counters
c) loses
d) counter-counters
e) changes screen sides 2 (but not 3+) times
f) counter-counter-counters
g) activates Necalli's VTrigger REGARDLESS OF IF THEY ARE NECALLI OR NOT

Damage is based on the original damage of the move being countered, the difference in player's HP, the in-game clock, the out-of-game clock, and the opposing character's Event Hubs tier list ranking.

Giving Vega scarlet terror as a v reversal and backslash as a normal reversal would go a long way, although he'd still be stuck with some bafflingly bad buttons and specials.

I just want Scarlet Terror back as a special. I'm fine with it being a charge special.

If it sways you one way or the other: people on The Twitter are saying that list of moves that was flagged in the data as being counterable kicks isn't even correct and it works on some random stuff that isn't flagged so maybe not even Capcom knows what all it works against.

It's the list of what the data says should be countered, except people are saying the data is wrong.

I got a chance to play the beta today since they fixed the matchmaking. Load times do feel way better on my end at least.

I also won a match after inadvertently buffering Karin's CA after a shoulder charge and some poor dude probably thought he was playing the most bad rear end bronze Karin on earth.
