I know nothing of this music and I'm to believe some dude named Paisley is cool?

I read an interview with him, he was doing some small run tubescreamer type signature pedal, which kicks major rear end, and he was a total gear head. I always check his gear if my parents are watching some CMT bullshit and hes always loaded up with nice Dr. Z combos. Anyway he talked about how him and his friends were super into early thrash and they did their country version of it. Hauling major rear end play as fast as they could, singing lightning speed, double bass the works. He said they did that for about 10 years in tiny bars and no one gave a poo poo, or understood it so they all said, gently caress it, lets do one of those lame rear end country albums and get paid. So they did, and they did, and now he's mega rich and does the normal bullshit, but deep down he's still a badass loving shred master.

A friend of mine, a guy who knows basically nothing about music other than "I like the sound of the music I like," spoke to him a few years ago at some kind of social event and he told me Brad basically said "If I could get paid for sitting around at home and playing guitar all day I would, but I can't, so I do this too." I've liked him ever since. I remember a goon talking about him a while back and basically summed up his thoughts with "Brad Paisley is one of those guys who's way better than his material" and I think that's just about the most accurate summary of the guy I've ever heard.

gently caress I missed Brad Paisley chat. I was in a guitar shop in Asheville NC and saw this dude just rolling through hybrid picking solos...He was one of the dudes from Rascal Flatts but goddamn country players kick rear end on the six strings. I mean I guess I'm of the disposition that if someone is gonna just play a guitar in front of me I'll take the country genre please

Here's some dumb poo poo found lurking on reverb (click through for more dumb pictures and their dumb prices): (gently caress this guy) (gently caress this guy too) (Yes, let's make a clarinet in C so if you want to play anything written for clarinet in the last couple centuries or whatever, you gotta transpose a half-step. Good job. Let's also make it the same colors as the Florida Marlins.) (ART. It's ART. YOU CAN'T CRITICIZE IT BECAUSE IT'S ART NOW i loving hate these people) (yes, let's charge $7500 for a guitar you pasted poo poo onto. sure) (your drums are not steampunk enough. are they made of brass and glass? no? then they're not steampunk enough.) (the snare confuses me more than the rest of it.) (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa) (oh hey look it's the frying pan guiONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS WHAT) And, from wikipedia, the picture on the article for the alto clarinet: on a filthy carpet, propped up by game boy cartridges. hexwren fucked around with this message at 10:08 on Apr 1, 2017 |
