The writing is really bad so far. I'm only like an hour in but, wow, the dialog has taken a dump since the previous one. It feels really stiff. It could just be that everyone is constantly pissed off.

the first storyline is based off a couple of japanese headliens from when it was being developed, so it's some fairly heavy stuff but not exactly hamhanded or over the top or anything. Honestly i'd say it's the best the game's writing gets.

It's the best game's writing gets until it enters one of the middle dungeons and the end game stuff, everything that isn't those is pretty loving borings sans some standout character moments.

this is the stupidest game ever lmao my friend got it and he was like I'll stream from my ps4. so he starts it up and right after you run around the casino and go into some purple room it cuts to the no video signal and has been on the no signal screen for like 35 minutes now and hes telling me he is getting lost in a subway and satans superboss children are giving him demons retarded game 0/10 return to sender

It probably has more to do with how Atlus is very controlling about how the game is presented to others and how even Jeff Gerstmann could not get a loving quick look up.

Aside from the slick UI and the nice cutscenes, this one isn't grabbing me the way 3 and 4 did, but that's mostly due to all but one of the characters refusing to express any emotion besides "angry" or "terminally depressed" and the writing being atrocious. What I'm saying is, game bad Actually I just really want to get into more battles because so far the battle UI seems great and I really want to fight with a full team and some actual stakes. edit: all that is to say I'm not far in at all, so my opinion could and probably will change, but man I hate every non-main character so far.

If it's anything like the other ones, time limits are not a huge deal on your first play unless you're really bad at the game. Like, exceptionally so.
