I don't think anyone here is killing themselves over any of it, but it'd be nice if people could chill a bit,.

Baal just does not like some va's in certain roles, anything he says about the dub is purely a preference thing. Except amanda Winn lee. Is she supposed to be drunk? I still cant tell after 80 hours.

The script missteps aside I haven't heard a single off-tone voice so far, which is nice considering that the cast seems to mainly consist of Atlus' up-and-comers. Ryuji always sounds like he's ready to slug someone, which is appropriate. The Chin That Walks is basically Ian Sinclair's Space Dandy without the roguish charm. My perpetually tired homeroom teacher is nice. Igor good. Only the twins sound a little stilted.

I've pretty much come around on Ryuji, because some of Mittelman's readings have been spectacular. I still don't like him as much as Miyano, but he's a solid performance in his own right.

If you were to go "what's happening in this line here" or maybe make a joke about it or something people would probably be more open to discussion about questionable translation choices (suckamoto) but you've got people in here just trying to poo poo on the game and ruin it for other people that yeah, people are just gonna tell em to gently caress off

I'm sure this has been asked a billion times before, but I'm asking again because I don't want to trawl back through pages full of plot spoilers. How time-sensitive are all the various Social Links and stat grinds in this one? Any particular stat or link I should prioritize? I remember there being some critical timings at least for P3.

Nobody (since the game dropped anyway, I haven't read earlier in the thread than that) has been especially hyperbolic in any sincere way. The people on Twitter have been, but that's Twitter. Plus, everybody is "parroting" the same few lines because this is a 100+ hour game that has been available for only a day. Of course people are going to focus on the same few lines, that's all anyone has seen.

He always kinda had the vibe of 'this dude loves watching you guys squirm' so it's not a total departure to add a bit more...not quite 'sinister' qualities but somewhere in that realm. Plus it goes well with the whole 'the velvet room is your prison' aesthetic. I still love me some old Igor but this new guy is a-ok by me.
