The car features a bit, Takeshi Kitano's character has a Lotus Elite and there's a Subaru XT sat in a car park but aside from that it's light on car fun. And fun in general. It's a super grey film that drags on far too long.

Electric E46 is probably the best use of an E46 I've seen aside from the V8 swapped one Bape Culture is doing. And well done. ... but electric so meh.

Four heads, two distributors, two intake manifolds... about the only parts of it that were actually unique to the 12 cylinder were the block, crank, and cam. It also never saw any sort of life in a pickup truck. And while those figures look poo poo, it was up against early 6V-71 and 8V-71 Detroit Diesels and the like. It was all about low-end torque and low engine speeds.

If you want to feel better about yourself, he apparently has no idea how to do metalwork -- all of the welds are done by "a friend who's amazing at this" and some of them are still pretty dodgy-looking. And aside from the bellhousing adapter -- which I don't think he designed himself either, given that he has no pictures of the CAD model -- there's little mechanical work involved in the project. It's a fantastic job with the electricals, though, no question.
