Ugh I just tried to rush the Temperance social link and I got to rank 9 right before summer break, partly because you lose both weekends to exams and having to go to bed early to prepare for hanging out with your friends, and apparently you can't rank up with her again until after school is back in session--there goes my plan to hit rank 10 and save 3 nights from Futaba's palace.

Ahahaha I got Makoto and she's already the best character. I like that it breaks from the previous tradition of characters falling rear end-backwards into a persona otherworld before getting their cool powers, this time the gang was all "well come along then and we'll show you the real crazy". I also like her motorcycle but that isn't surprising. I LOVE that her first reaction to the Phantom Thieves' modus operandi is essentially "how have you morons even lasted this long time to sort this poo poo out". I was cackling during that. Third dungeon I hear is a slog but I got Death 7 right before I walked in so I have two discounted SP refreshes keeping me at negative total use for the first couple dozen fights, so hopefully I'll be fine.

Man the Strength social link is kind of a money sink with all the summoning I gotta do, as well as sacrificing some old Personas just to make room. I just finished up the fourth layer of mementos before exams after the third Palace and did Strength rank 4 and 5 in succession, and now my money is down to 220k. I thought I was gonna finish up, but if I wanna buy another SP3 accessory for 50k and also unlock Fortune for 100k I'm gonna be back down pretty low if I also want to buy equipment upgrades for the next Palace, especially with occasional maid visits and gift-buying. Guess I might do another lap of the last couple of floors. edit: Also throughout the entire game up to this point the game hasn't done anything as cruel as the turn-1 Mahakaoun Archangels in Palace 1. Yes, time passes and you there are a lot of metaverse blocks on various social links you need to get to certain ranks to trigger. If you get a message on your phone but it doesn't directly tell you if you're ready to rank up or whatever, accepting it will just take you to where the character is. So occasionally, when you have her for a teacher, you can read a book to get the right stat boost, make tools to raise proficiency, actually loving listen for once to get a knowledge boost, or just sleep. I don't know what that one does, I haven't bothered to try it. Okay, so is there a reason both Sun and Moon keep cockblocking me? Neither will actually talk to me when they're out there. This is after the second dungeon but before the guy confessed, is there something I need to progress to get them to open up, that the game isn't telling me about?
