I'm still not sure the Damage upgrades on Sticky Grenade aren't broken. When you take the Damage upgrades on Frag Grenades, it updates their damage on the screen (1100 to 1350 for the first upgrade)

Taking the Damage upgrades on Sticky it still says 1100.

I lost my XP boost last night because I joined into a Bronze lobby as a level 1 infiltrator and the dude changed it to Gold and I didn't notice

The other two people obviously didn't notice either because they died in the first 30 seconds

You can see the crosshair narrow when you use turbocharge so I don't think they're broken across the board, but I'm pretty drat sure the 40% accuracy one in turbocharge is, and it does not feel like the other ones in munitions training etc are doing anything.

If they are, they're not changing almost anything about the rate or % that accuracy decays, which is the entire problem with accuracy.

They also need to fix sniping with krogan, where the bullet will randomly not fly out straight for some reason. With the sad damage of flamethrower on gold, flak cannon being crud in general, and the borked sniping on krogan, the krogan mercenary feels pretty mediocre on gold.

It has literally perfect accuracy as long as you're in range (17m). Can't hit anything at all farther away than that, but drat. I've used it a few times and liked it but didn't know why it was so popular, now I do!

I bought after the 1.05 patch and have found it to be fun so far, enough that I haven't played much SP (my Ryder is still chilling at the strike team console, and hasn't even gone to his shiny new ship yet). Its not ME3MP (yet) but its still fun, flaws and all.

Are you using a krogan? Sniping with them is bugged and makes bullets randomly go way off center.

I haven't seen any other weirdness with shots missing entirely, but I have found the crit spots to be the weirdest loving thing I've ever experienced in a game with locational damage.

Shot 1: eyes. No headshot.
Shot 2: mouth area. No headshot.

Yeah, I just got one last night, and it's probably the gun that feels the best to me so far. Does decent damage on Gold even at low rank, has a bit of a shorter range but most of the time who cares, and I personally enjoy the overheat mechanism instead of having to run back to an ammo box every 10 seconds. It'd be one thing if the enemies didn't have huge amounts of health overall, or if most weapons/powers didn't suck, but...

The other nice thing is if you have a sidewinder, you can put that on as well with no weight penalty and use it for stuff at a bigger range. It's no vanquisher, but hey, it's a bonus.

Yes their hitboxes are the worst I have ever seen in a non-indie FPS. It's not a netcode issue either, because the weak spots are just as wonky in singleplayer.

It's understandable, it's not like the game's new engine was specifically made for a franchise of multimillion-dollar shooters or whatever.

I hope they add more things to spend mission funds on eventually beyond the trickle of equipment items, because I have like 600 of them from this mobile app but nothing to buy with it. I imagine they walked back on making specific weapons and characters available there because it would cut into their RNG box profits.

My theory is actually the source of the projectile is wrong in the game. I've noticed that if you aren't in shallow cover (long boxes for example) you will hit the box infront of you instead of what your aiming at.

Also if you can clearly see the top of an assemblers head and you're above, and you're shooting downwards, you'll also hit the top of the boxes he's behind cover of.. so you have to aim slightly above their head. It's really messed up.

You could always spend them on the bizarrely expensive Equipment for Strike Teams that only costs like 400 to give them a +10 chance of success, which totally seems great until you realize that Bronze Missions give you just as many Mission Funds as Gold ones, and once your team is level 15 or so they have 98/90 chance of success on Bronze/Silver and at level 20 50/50 on Gold.

They seem to have wildly miscalculated on the extent to which players would rely on Strike Team loot for the single player.

Disciple isn't as hilariously useful as it was in 3, but no it's still decent-ish as a light but punchy gun on a power class. It's one of the, like, 3 shotguns that are currently even things I would ever consider taking into Gold.

YES YES I KNOW I'm the one who always says everything is viable on Gold, but that doesn't mean I personally enjoy everything on Gold. I'm not a lunatic. I never tried to solo Platinum with a Drell Adept, though honestly I wish I were good enough to do it because it looks fun as poo poo.

I was using the Disciple on my Vanguards for a while, just to soften enemies enough to finish them off with a melee hit, but the long reload animation would sometimes prevent me from being able to melee until completed.

Now I use the Talon, a pistol that shotguns better than most actual shotguns, which is par for the course for Andromeda's wonky weapon balance.

They should make it so that the package drops any time you take a hit, having the package makes you take more damage, and also dropping it moves it back to the spawn point

Nope, SalInf or HuInf. Also I don't know what it is about the reticle, but I can't center it worth a poo poo and when my on-target shots don't miss then I'm overaiming and actually missing. Like it's too sensitive or something when you're scoped in. If I turn down the sensitivity much further I'll turn like a drunk Krogan in quicksand.

Holy Christ gently caress this Kett mission that's a double assassination on gold with shotgun skirmish. Why can't the cobra even kill an anointed in one shot? The kicker is i got it randomly twice without noticing. I beat it the first time, the second time we lost wave six to the last target, an ascendant, because a fiend spawned inside a player and instant killed them, ten trillion miniguns tore apart the second, the third got trapped between more anointed and an ascendant, and I fell out of the map. I got back in but couldn't move, not that it matters, because my final rocket wasn't enough to kill even a single Kett.

The rockets don't get reduced damage or something on this lovely mode do they?

RBA Starblade fucked around with this message at 04:59 on Apr 13, 2017

Owl Inspector
Sep 14, 2011

Nope. Cobra damage just blows compared to the instakill it used to be, and is exacerbated against kett because ascendants don't take any damage from it if you cobra their orb away, and fiends frequently take 0 damage from cobras because they are walking atrocities of broken code that are so appallingly dysfunctional that it's a wonder they don't cause blue screens of death. The poo poo I have seen them do is unreal.

The second time I tried that mission, we won because we only got normal enemies as assassination targets. The first time, we lost because bioware patched the game to let giant enemies be assassination targets, and it gave us two ascendant targets. One by one the team was bled away by sync kills, two of which were to a fiend that instantly snapped into the sync from far away, and one to an ascendant when the player was out of the field by a solid meter. :bravo: bioware.

Dr. Abysmal

We're all doomed
I've failed two gold Kett APEX missions to the point where I probably won't bother trying if the day's gold mission is Kett. Last weekend it was Kett/Gold/Magma with -25% weapon damage and it would always give Upload on wave 3 and it was just doomed to failure each time. You'd get two points but the last one is just too exposed to hold against the constant stream of poo poo spawning around the corner and marching right into the circle. Then today's where it's Ascendant after Ascendant and you either run out of time or everybody gets mowed down by the 18 Anointed that pop up from every direction.
