This past Sunday was Easter. It's a day when fellow Catholics return to church and they hear about the sacrifice made by Jesus so that their souls might enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Many of the people there believe, they really do, in the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ. They will be inspired. Some of them will resolve to be more religious, and some of them will show up the next Sunday. Some will even show up the Sunday after that. But a month later, the congregation is back down to normal, and we'll see the others on Christmas (maybe). You just can't pull people in for the long haul, even for their immortal souls, so god knows you're going to have problems rallying them for week 30 of fighting for single payer health care.

Unless we go back to his real estate stuff, but he blamed that on it being his father's policy and he did change it (after a lawsuit though).

Oh I think they will be, once they realize that Trump was full of poo poo on trade and the preservation of Medicare, Medicaid, and SS. I mean, there's only a record amount of suicides and drug addictions occurring in the region due to their livelihoods being outsourced by banks and corporations, AKA Trump's donors.

The hard core socialist that make up 1 or 2% of the party didn't make a difference and they never do. It's worse than that. Democrat support collapsed across the Rust Belt. Compared to '12, across the Rust Belt, Democrats lost ~1.5m votes and Republicans gained ~0.5m votes, winning by 0.1m. Trump won by ~100,000 votes. Clinton lost ~400,000 votes in the black, indigenous and person-of-color category. Clinton lost ~400,000 votes in the $50k to $100k category. Clinton lost ~1,100,000 votes in the $0 to $50k category. And she lost by ~100,000. Edit:
