Figured I'd give this game a try, getting bored of WoW for now. Made a Romulan Tactical Officer, just because I like being evil Vulcans. I assumed a dps character would be the best way to get a feel for the game. Is there any kind of leveling guide or trait guide? I'm just following the single player story and got my science bridge officer. I see that I can switch my space and ground traits around, but they look a little overwhelming. I didn't get any tutorial info on what "exploit" means, for example.

Expose and exploits are just a fancy way of doing more damage on the ground. If you see an orange reticle circling your target, that means they're exposed and an exploit attack will do extra damage to them.

RomTac will still be the best at DPS and DPS will still be the only thing that matters in PVE though, that part isn't really changing any.

Hey, HotBobaloo - while you're leveling, keep an eye out for bridge officers with the Superior Romulan Operative trait. They're pretty much the best possible choice for bridge officers in your ship, and as far as I can tell that won't change next week.
