I'm sincerely curious what cognitive sorting takes place that the comic book people lean bizarrely strong in that direction, and video fake people are bizarrely strong in the other direction. I'm generalizing but that seems generally true and not only on SA. Someone get some social psychologists on this.

I checked out of BSS a looooong time ago. There was this cabal of like 6 or 7 posters including the mod who would talk about other posters in IRC. They'd complain about wrongthink, dig up other 'dirt' on the poster, and have the mod probate them or push bans through.
