Honestly Dorion hasn't done a whole lot worth screaming about one way or the other yet. Extending Claesson is something that would've been "One more bullshit move" if it'd been Murray but I think the new guy gets to take a flyer and see if the lovely defenseman they turned into a sketchy defenseman won't mature into a competent defenseman

Which is to say he hasn't done much besides Zibanejad for Brassard, which is a bad move regardless of what voodoo metrics you use to call Brassard your best forward. He had a bunch of deadline deals which meant little and the Burrows trade is still real dumb.

I actually agree Letang is better than Subban. A healthy Letang is legit top 3 defenseman in the NHL. Problem is he's injured all the time. Subban probably has a better slapshot but Letang does everything else as good or better including being a psycho on the ice.

Brass has been an excellent playoff performer but I dont' think he'll live up to regular season expectations.

Zibs needs to stay healthy for the Rangers next year and find his groove, that injurywas a tough one to deal with

Letang being a pyscho probably gets him injured. He has no idea about self preservation.

Crosby was the same way his first two years and would go into every corner like it was game 7. Then he toned it down because he realized he was gonna get killed if he kept doing that. I kinda miss that early Crosby because he was fun to watch but he would have been a 50 game a year player like Letang if he kept that up.

It'd be nice if Letang could learn the same lesson and just protect himself better instead of trying to make a play every time but that's also part of what makes him so great so I guess it's a bit of a double edged sword.

Good news for the Sens is that it looks like according to Grandpa Melnyk's ledger that playoff series has almost got him in the green so they'll probably have to jettison a handful fewer promising young players due a raise than original anticipated.

I really hope the oilers can keep Distrait and Mcdavid together on a line for the next 20 years, but hopefully not like chicago where it's 2 highly paid players and an entire team of garbage behind them to the point where they can only score 3 goals in a playoff series.

the THRILL

Describing the Rangers as a more famous version of the Sens is pretty much the most apt description I've seen for this matchup.

Leaving aside coaching, I feel like the Sens are coming in as underdogs, but the teams are pretty much the same with the exception of Karlsson and NY having an unsustainable shooting percentage during the regular season (much like the Sens last year when they had 6 20-goal forwards).

St. Louis has a concert tonight and Washington had the Wizards last night.

The other 2 have nothing though so they could have scheduled Sens/Rangers last night and Caps/Pens tonight instead.

I don't get this at all, they play entirely different systems. I guess they're the same in that they're both wildly unpredictable or something?
