Oh, lighten up Mr. Dooms-and-Gloom, "embezzle" is metal.
It does look really awesome when everyone in your team levels up at once though, my roommate was very confused after he saw me beat that boss and level up like 8 people + my persona after watching me play a game with only 4 party members basically all the time

Although the EXP curve could be smoothed out a little, I like that the Persona games push you into the mid-seventies by endgame. Most RPGs only really generally put you in the low sixties, and it feels like there's a huge range of levels that are wasted.

On the one hand, it'd be cool to have -dyne spells and cool stuff like Debilitate a little earlier, but I also sort of enjoy how much those feel like "capstone" skills that you finally have when it's time to fight the final bosses.

So why is the security level even a thing in the casino? Shadow Sae knows you're there. She's toying with you.

Also, how did they even 'create' a cognitive Joker for Akechi to kill in the Metaverse?

The way I understood it is that the prison is undistorted in Sae's palace, so if she's aware that Joker's in that cell, there will be a cognitive one there in the Metaverse.

Sae creates the cognitive joker, because she knows where he's locked away in the real world. Since the police station is the same in her cognitive world, it stands that joker is also locked away in her cognition.

They didn't create it, Sae did. Goro "killed" cognitive Joker in her palace, and the cognitive version of him was created when she left him in that room when the interrogation ended.

Post-Palace 6 spoilers: Sae is interrogating the real Joker throughout the whole game; you're rewarded for telling her the truth/being open with her by gaining her trust enough for her to take your phone with her when the interrogation is over. This is the key part, as she passes by Akechi in the hallway, and Futaba remotely triggers the Metanav so that Akechi unknowingly enters Sae's Metaverse version of the underground interrogation room where there is her cognitive version of Joker waiting, because Sae believes that's where he is. Akechi kills the cognitive Joker, while Futaba re-triggers the Metanav and pulls Sae out, Sae returns to the real interrogation room and retreives the real Joker.

EDIT: Oops, my mistake, it's Palace 6.

I'm Reaper farming so I can fight the NG+ boss, but I also need Futaba's line trophy so I've been letting my party members get injured and die for those lines. Feels bad, except for Akechi.

There's one where Adechi is like "I guess I"m not wanted anywhere" and the response is like "Oh, so it's not just here?" Futaba and Sojiro even get !! marks above their heads over how loving ice cold it is.

This actually raises a small plot hole that hadn't occurred to me (still post-Palace 6 spoilers):

So Akechi walks towards the interrogation room, meets Sae, and Futaba triggers the switch into the metaverse. Inside the metaverse, he walks into the interrogation room and shoots the cognitive Joker. Meanwhile, Sae is still in the metaverse police building, gets pulled out, retrieves the real Joker. So far all of that makes sense.

But how does Akechi leave the metaverse station without realizing what's happened? He's not near Sae when she leaves, so what prevents him from stepping outside, seeing a giant casino, and figuring out what happened instantly?

You leave the metaverse by passing through the same place you entered. This is why they spend some time in the big infodump on Ryuji and Joker exiting Kamoshida's palace. That's also why they were very particular about the interrogation room being underground and down a hallway, so there was only one way in or out

(Post-Palace 6) When he walks back down the corridor he automatically leaves the metaverse at the point where he entered it, because that's how it works. Similarly Sae isn't pulled out; she automatically leaves the metaverse when the recorded message from Alibaba tells her to go back to the interrogation room.

If anyone didn't bother to listen to Futaba's extended explanation they really missed out. It just keeps getting more ridiculous.
