The countache has not aged well imo. Then again I think most lambos made in the 1990-2013 years look kind of stupid in hindsight

If you didn't have this as a bedroom wall poster as a kid you weren't a 90s kid.

Seriously, though, the Japanese were just killing it with their performance car styling in the very tail end of the 80s/start of the 90s. The FD RX7 especially has the kind of classic beauty that puts it up with the early E-types.
I hadn't been paying attention to new car things during the early 90s, so when I saw my first FD in the flesh (a beautiful deep black) I had to wander over to its parking spot to figure out just WTF I was looking at.

Wanted one ever since.

That's the trick, if it's two people's worth of load it's twice the price. 50% discount for being a hulk, back pain be damned.

Twice the price at 5.99 per trip is still cheaper than back pain meds.

As a kid I wasn't thrilled by G-bodies. As I approached driver's license age my parents' 1980 Malibu (which was purchased by trading in a 72 or 73 Chevelle) beckoned, and I saw old GNs and GNXs for the first time.

They traded the Malibu for an Explorer and I got to drive the 89 Taurus. :sigh:

He started up in the garage i used to hang out at / throw in an extra hand with the owners now and again.

It blew out a couple single pane windows of the building.

He wasn't allowed to turn the engine over inside the garage again after that.

I had the Countach and the 959 from this series as individual posters, as well as a Viper RT/10 and an SN95 Mustang (this one must've just been because it was a car, I've never liked the SN95 much).

I still have the Countach, I gave the 959 to a buddy who adores them.

Might have been stiffer than the Stratos though? If I'm remembering right when they were troubleshooting the Stratos they realised the chassis was so weak that on any given corner the wheels might be facing in four different directions
