I feel really complicated about all this because Chapo pushed me further to the left. Their criticisms of the democratic party are always on point and the reading series is arguably the best part of the show. I suppose they're a decent starting point if their humor is up your alley. But, again, I'm mostly just frustrated by them and their unwillingness to grow. At some point I just unsubscribed and cut myself off from large parts of leftist irony twitter. Genuine leftists are more fun to follow anyway.

I think in general it's a punching up vs down thing, punching down is often easier but less satisfying comedically and iffy morally, I find my socialist ideals are pretty in line with my sense of humour, I just want the rich to eat it (and be eaten. by me.)
