I never finished the first Injustice. Should I fire it up on the PS4 and beat story mode before the new game? I only ask since I remember going through MK9's story mode before 10 was really rough due to some of the bad matches the game would throw at you in story mode, like fighting two characters back to back without healing.

The "don't do it alone your ideals are scary Bruce" thing seems to carry over into the game itself, going by some lines from one of the story trailers a while ago. I like that Batman is kind of being forced into the public eye with no secrets. It's real weird for everyone involved.

It'd be too much a hassle to prep all those goddamn loadouts, not to mention ensure a console has all of them (I assume this was a problem with the Smash Bros stuff too, especially because it would take you an ungodly amount of time to get everyone's variations.) All balancing and official stats will likely just stem from the base moves characters have, I can't imagine it would be any other way

The solution is simple, use Cassandra or Stephanie batgirl and have her play entirely differently. Or just Spoiler, that's fine too. Also: DLC Hawkgirl that's actually worth playing as opposed to the 1 version.

She never really felt good to play and they never patched her to be worth the effort, competitively speaking. By the end of the patches she wasn't completely poo poo but there was a whole cast of characters that did her job better. I put a lot of effort into her personally before giving up and moving over to Bane when they made him worth playing. Bane's new overhead tools got me really excited for this game but I don't know if it's enough to outweigh the looming shadow of DLC announced pre release date.

I actually have more faith in the mortal combat people to balance different movesets than I do in Nintendo. It's not hard to imagine them pulling it off. Gorilla Grodd looks so cool. Giving him a combo where he makes people punch themselves is a new kind of gangster I wasn't aware existed.

Level 3 raw super % is definitely nuts though, feels like it should be a big reward for blowing out all of your resources so I dig it.

I liked Hawkgirl mostly for the fantastic sound effects for smashin' some dudes face with a spiked mace. I also thought she had some good options for getting in and generally decent mobility. Her trait was up there with Cyborg's in terms of uselessness though. As an aside, this is probably an old question, but do I really have to shell out 100 bucks to play as my fav space cop John Stewart?
