That's pretty funny. To be fair though, most STEM professors I have had are extraordinarily explicit with how they define things, if not downright robotic; that's just the nature of work at that level, and it lends itself to a certain personality. NDT strikes me as someone who is clearly able to be friendly and warm enough to be a media personality, but behind the scenes may seem like he has his head in the clouds. I'm reminded of how Michio Kaku was described as looking like he didn't know who Opie and Anthony were, despite having been a guest many times, off air. I don't know, I cut the guy some slack for being a dweeb. Faaaaaart.

Tyson is an adorable dweeb. When he first got big attention from the internet for talking about science gently caress ups in film, he kind of got carried away and did it too much. But you know, that's just a quirk of someone being kind of a geek. He's like the internets nerdy dad. Of course he's gonna be way less funny and cool than he tries to act, but it's not sinister or like, bad at all. He's just such a sweetheart.

Al Madrigal, another rich kid turned depressed comic. Holy poo poo what a drag he was, I couldnt finish the first hour. He said one thing that was funny, I forgot it though. From what I remember about reading a bunch of "what are famous people like in real life" NDT can be an awkward, goony nerdface when he's not performing NEIL DEGRASSE TYSON, SCIENCE POPULARIZER, but he aight. Bill Nye, apparently, is a total dickhole, though. Al Madrigal's episode was cool. Not ha ha funny, perhaps, but interesting.
