I accidentally spoiled Persona 4's killer for my friend today. He's taken two years to beat Persona 4 Golden but I still feel bad about it. It was during an impassioned conversation about how good Persona 5 is.

I thought Persona 4's music was pretty good but I am in love with P5's soundtrack and will probably be listening to it for weeks, if not months to come. Persona 4's OST is generally better than 5's for BGM, barring a couple of standout tracks from 5 but everything else about it is worse.

So instead of feeling "Yeah! Yusuke's awesome!" I was thinking "Screw you Yusuke! Get out of the way and let the pros handle it!" Which I think is the wrong emotion for that track.

The Almighty isn't the 'powerful boss' theme, it only plays during Ameno Sagiri. The powerful boss theme is New World Fool (played during Adachi and Namatame). Also, I like The Almighty.

Loney Prayer wouldn't be a bad battle theme if the song wasn't so short. None of the Persona 3/4/5 battle themes annoy me no matter how many times I hear them, even through the original Persona 3 battle theme and Making History are probably my least favorite ones for those games. Mass Destruction is a good song, but it doesn't feel like a battle theme. I always thought Burn My Dread could been the main battle theme before Wipe Them Out from Portable.

I really dug The Almighty and that version with the jazz solo is cool. I like Rivers in the Desert well enough, but it's not a track I really go out of my way to play ever.

I always click through all the dialogue I can because I can read way faster than it's voiced, and since about 40 of the ~70 I played it for were remote on my Vita with the sound off it made no difference. I have no strong opinions one way or the other about how good or bad the voice acting is.
