Iowa is another such state. I know this because a co-worker is currently fighting the state to get his garnishment stopped because tons of his check still goes to his ex-wife even though their child is in his 20s.

So if he has 4 kids he should be paying them 200% of his income and having at least 2 at his home at any given time.

That guy got hosed because he's carrying insurance in addition to the support, which is a voluntary deduction so it doesn't count towards the 50%. We at least allow a parent carrying insurance to receive a credit so he'd be paying less in support if the kids were covered. Schadenfreude would be if he's against single payer healthcare because SOCIALISM.
