I mean, that's really the discussion, Finals MVP isn't an award for the whole playoffs and in the finals Parker shot 57% (and 57% from 3) on 24.5 points per game in a quick series. Duncan was way better in the first 3 rounds (and particularly great against the Suns which was the Spurs biggest test) and the finals were a victory lap.

I would note that these two ideas are linked, kinda. I agree that Houston's defense is not good enough to win (which is the reason they won't, not because of this single game). I also think both Hakeem and probably Ewing (as I said before I don't remember him that well) are being underrated by WS because it measures offense better than defense.

Kareem's shot was so unstoppable. Look at the people trying to block it. If only they were three or four feet taller they could block him. The shot that led to the highest team SRS ever.

There are more missed layups in part because sometimes a dunk is not available, and also many missed dunks are charges and don't get recorded. However, yes more dunks is better

I wish we had shooting splits on Kareem so we could see just how accurate the sky hook really was and what percentage of his game it made up compared to other post ups, transition, etc.

The not getting along part is true and Beal is so frequently injured that it may still have been a bad idea to max him.

Beal remained moderately healthy this season and he and Wall realized they don't have to like each other to play well together.
