Ok so somebody offered me Oh+Mazara+Cishek for Kemp.

I'm considering it, but would it be weird/bad for me to tell him to just drop Cishek from the offer entirely? I don't really want to drop anybody for a guy in a closer-by-committee situation who exploded in dramatic fashion his first time out in the 9th.

I don't like their interface compared to yahoo's. I remember trying to find players was not an easy process. Other small stuff that I forgot about. But honestly the #1 reason is that they figuratively told android users to gently caress off because they didn't actually bother making their app usable for like three years.

Yeah, when people say they prefer Yahoo I honestly wonder if they are using some secret version I don't have access to. I'd drop Yahoo altogether but the one league I have that is competitive and where people semi-communucate with each other is on it so I'm stuck with them.

i don't get this at all. you just click the tab called 'players' and search for their name? am i missing something simpler on yahoo?

i've also used a lot of computers in a lot of places and espn's fantasy site has always been massively quicker than yahoo's, especially true since yahoo moved to the new interface a few years back.

yea, i agree with the poster above--am i missing something?

Yahoo's draft interface (and the football interface) is far superior, but ESPN's is better for baseball. I dunno why Yahoo doesn't have columns for BVP and opposing pitcher and all that. It's the opposite of football where ESPN has worthless info and Yahoo has all of the good stuff.

I do like not having to hit "submit" after making roster changes on Yahoo, but that's a minor quibble.

We use that already, which is where the surprises/complaints stem from. Ultimately it's just a minor annoyance outside of one case.

To get off the subjective stuff: Eno Sarris ran the numbers and DL stints are up 50% this season.

For the people thinking they wanted to maybe expand the number of DL slots in your league, that figure may help. Eno himself is in favor of it:

I have Maeda and Rich Hill and Ryu it's annoying that they go on the DL so much, but if they're just missing one start it's almost like they're not even on it. Like if a guy pitches on Monday then goes on the DL and starts again next Friday, it's not really hurting you that much.

It's the new 10 day disabled list. With being able to make it retroactive up to five days guys can be on it for only a few days so teams will drop players on it for anything now.

I don't even know a thing about Happ, but I just hope he is keeper worthy. One guy in the league has built a super outfield of Benintendi, Judge and Trea Turner all without ever needing a number one waiver.

That guy's team is sick. He also has Freddie Freeman and JD Martinez. And Scherzer. His team gonna be good for a long time.

Re: ESPN or Yahoo, I like Yahoo's search functionality more. I wish it didn't refresh the entire page for every little thing, though. I like how much faster ESPN is for everything. Both apps are kinda meh. Yahoo really needs an easier way to look at the opponent's roster for that day. ESPN needs to stop logging me out every couple weeks.

Who would you rather have out of:

Edwin Diaz/Corey Knebel?

Odubel Herrera/Kevin Pillar/Matt Holliday/Keon Broxton/Ian Happ?

Robbie Ray/Lance Lynn/Eduardo Rodriguez/Aaron Nola/Trevor Cahill/Charlie Morton/Luis Perdomo (pick 3)?

Standard 10-team 5x5 roto, I'm good on steals and K's, middling on runs, wins, and saves (although right now Justin Wilson is my only closer because of the K-Rod/Diaz implosions), and seriously hurting on homers, RBI, average, ERA, and WHIP.

Knebel, without hesitation. He's a closer right now, Diaz is not. He also has the underlying skills to keep the job in Mil.

I'd take Pillar or Holliday for OF right now. Happ maybe, but the odds are really high he ends up back in AAA sooner rather than later. Herrera and Broxton are gonna be AVG anchors right now, so why not play the hot hand?

Morton, Rodriguez, Lynn/Ray. I would have said Cahill and maybe Perdomo over one of the non-Morton guys, but you say you don't need Ks and need Wins, and that's not really the Padres' bag right now. Same for Nola, even though he's probably #2 on the list in overall quality. Morton for sure though, dude is crazy this year.

EDIT: And Cahill just hit the 10-day so...

I woke up to an offer of Michael Conforto for my Jose Abreu. By the guy I just called our Taco like 4 posts ago. Now I feel bad, because this trade offer actually isn't terrible.

It's a dynasty league where I already have Kris Bryant, Bellinger, Frazier, and Mark Reynolds to play 1B. Anyone have thoughts?

In my non-goon, 12-team league it is amazing how everybody is trying to pressure me into trades constantly. Apparently this happens every year (my brother invited me and confirms it) but people seem genuinely hurt that I don't want to entertain their offers. I accepted a deal that sent my Kris Bryant for Josh Donaldson and Greg Holland which I guess marked me? But that's like...a good trade. Now they want me to deal Villar for spare parts.

Which I'm actually near doing, I'm in full on panic mode about Villar.
