I prefer the well made Aladdin game, not the one with the neat graphics and flaily sword attack with hitboxes that are non-euclidean.

the sprite animation in genesis aladdin looks great, but the colors look super weird and dead, and its level design is just super goddamn plain with gameplay mostly consisting of mashing the sword button until enemies die. i hate it!!

I've never had any issues with GOG (Galaxy or service) at all except for one of my games being permanently hidden and a quick email to support fixed that in a jiffy. Same for Steam, really. I remember Origin being bad in the past but now it's pretty good. And then there's GFWL. There was a service that deserved to loving die and I'm glad it did. Good riddance, though I appreciate that time Age of Empires 3 was on sale for one cent back in like 2010. GUI posted:The XBLA version was definitely patched at some point. Genesis Aladdin was rushed as hell but it was also made with actual Disney animators, which is why it's looks so good. The SNES one is the better game but as a result of it being one of the weaker Capcom Disney games, not by that much. The tragic thing is that the Genesis one outsold the hell out of the Capcom one and I don't think Capcom ever made another Disney game

I had no idea the SNES and Mega Drive had different Aladdins and now I feel cheated I did love that mega drive version. Could never beat Jaffar though

Apparently some key staff from it moved on to Devil May Cry and Platinum games like Bayonetta and Revengeance. It's weird as hell seeing the gameplay mechanic similarities, well worth a lookie.

Well poo poo, that's what happens with the 360 is a garbage fire and you don't replace the one you have when it red rings. I don't get to know about obscure patches! Did they ever patch back in the cutscenes since it's no longer dealing with a 200 mb limit, then? At the very least it's not a rights issue, as the PSN version has never changed and is still up, and I'm pretty sure I read some interview a long time ago saying it was changed in the PSP version because people complained about it.

They never added the FMV cutscenes back in but you're not missing much. The PSP version doesn't have that song at the end because it wasn't in the Japanese version and I guess it wasn't worth re-licensing it for that. Again not missing much.

Genesis Aladdin was a really solid platformer, gently caress dis dumb goony nevergoodism. I think it's still historically the #1 top-selling title for the Genesis. SNES had way better colors and music though. That parallax scrolling in Agrabah blew my young mind.
