I find Fusion Generator at 4 is also the fastest way to charge your self-destruct. It is embarrassing though when you place a field in the exact opposite location to what you wanted.

Just got Goliath D.Va out of a rare box. That saves me the thought of paying real money for the bundle. When exactly does the nexus challenge end? Like tonight or do we have the 22nd? Can't find a clear answer.

Wait so does hots actually try to put support players into every game even in qp? I figured it was just totally random characters, in a lot of my games there isn't a character on either team who could remotely identify as a support. It's all illidans all the way down.

Do they have something where some characters counts as a specialist even if they aren't? Cause i keep getting tons of games where one team has two and the other none.

Had quite a few games of my nexus challenge run where our team had 1 support (often me), and the other team had 2. Those tended to be hard matchups. Should probably point out those 15ish games I did for the challenge were the first QMs I had ever done. I tried to do well, but sometimes it just felt like we were outmatched way too hard (or maybe just I was ). The best game out of the whole run though was a Haunted Mines match. We were on the backfoot the whole drat game, down a few levels, and the enemy team had just taken out our keeps and sent so many mercs and poo poo down the lanes that we were forced to clean the base instead of heading right to the mines. Thing is though, their bottom keep was down. While they were collecting 100 Skulls, we bumrushed their core and snagged the win. p.s. I hate Butcher now.

They do have a support lite category, so some like Tassadar and Tyrrande it tries to group against Abathur and Zarya.

I cannot loving describe how miserably loving tired I am of being matched up with 5 stacks 700+ levels above me, alone, while my team has Medivh or two level 60 guys. I don't loving care how broken and lovely QM is "supposed to" be, this cannot loving possibly ever be an acceptable match. Jesus gently caress EDIT: I guess it's my fault for playing at 5 AM. You're complaining about being matched against people who are higher level..? As in hero level? As in that meaningless number that means nothing and no one cares about?

# ? May 22, 2017 12:13 |

It's mostly the obviously-coordinated 5 stack poo poo that bothers me, but don't act like it isn't demoralizing to be matched up with people with hundreds more hours of playtime, whether it guarantees higher skill or not.

QM is for playing with bros and getting better at heroes in my opinion. I say that as someone who only plays QM. I figure it's like OW where people in comp are just as bad as quick play but much angrier

T E A M L E A G U E Come for the best draft system in the game, stay for the +215% bonus EXP. At gold/plat rank matches are pretty even, except the 1 in 10 games where you are chosen as community sacrifice to the 5 diamonds so they don't wait in 10 minute queues.

When the enemy team is deathballing all game should you spread out to all lanes to soak exp faster or just team fight them back? I disagree with a friend's who says that this is an exclusively team fighting game, I think you should deathball to mid then spread out even if they stick together since lane exp should put pace the deathball. But we're both new and bad so idk which is better. E: i just personally find the laning phase to be fun too so i could def be wrong Jinh fucked around with this message at 13:56 on May 22, 2017 |

But we're both new and bad so idk which is better. Depends on the map and the number of lanes, but yes, you should spread out and soak while leaving your ranged wave clear slowing down the push. You might go down a little on XP or stay even if they take the fort, but you will have "banked' that fort xp for later and will hopefully get to 10 first and can THEN counter their 5 man push with ults. Hanamura this does not work as much because losing even a fort there is devastating.

But we're both new and bad so idk which is better. There are so many variables there isn't a great single answer for this question. Worst case scenario, just wipe their minions then rotate to the closest lane and wipe those minions as 4, while one soaks the far lane. As long as they have to tank tower shots to attack your buildings it's alright to leave the lane. Make sure to warn on rotations and have the solo laner play it safe so they don't get ganked. Don't commit to a 4v5 teamfight unless you're a talent tier up and one of their guys is out of position and prime to be blown up.

Makes sense, so we were both probably wrong on different maps and in different situations, idk how i didn't make that connection before. I definitely have a lot to learn about pinging and wave clearing before rotating at least.

I definitely have a lot to learn about pinging and wave clearing before rotating at least. When in doubt split soaking is the correct answer IF your teammates understand that they need to avoid fighting/dying. In general people don't understand safe soaking very well. All you need to do is stand near minions while they die. You don't need to actively kill them or attack your opponent. You can just sit in a bush and wait. In fact it's often detrimental to kill minions yourself because it pushes the wave closer to the enemy fort and forces you to get further and further out of position to soak. Constantly trying to fight or harass will expend your resources (hp/mana) and when you run out you'll be forced to go heal and then you will miss several waves of xp if you're solo laning. If you notice your opponent is running out of mana/hp slower than you are then you should back off and just soak. If the opposite is true then you can keep harassing them to hopefully force them out of the lane. But be aware that as you push the wave forward you become more and more vulnerable to a rotation and gank from their team. bamhand fucked around with this message at 14:52 on May 22, 2017 |
