lol remember when Jon Schaffer got him to play on an Iced Earth album but made him play the same old boring Iced Earth bass lines, and then got really mad when he said he wouldn't be able to do the tour?

If the comedy rotation door of Iced Earth's lineup is any indication, Jon Schaffer is apparently difficult to work with.

The first 4 iced earth albums were some good poo poo

Agreed, after that the riffs became super generic and Jon got on that weird rear end political kick.

Yeah I couldn't name a single song off any album after that.

Agreed there, Horror Show is fun. Enjoying Witchtower from that list above by the way, great stuff.

How could you forget the "epic" song-in-3-movements they did about the Battle of Gettysburg (which was just called Gettysburg 1863 I think)? I mean other than the fact it's totally forgettable. Or from the same album, When The Eagle Cries, Schaffer's utterly awful 9/11 tribute song.

That album and the entire Iced Earth patriotism thing is what made me realize metal musicians are very dumb.

The only thing I remember about that album is an interview before it came out where Schafer talked a bunch about how Ripper's voice was going to allow him to write the types of vocal melodies he always wanted, and then laughing about that when it actually came out.
