The weirdest thing about the costumes is that you almost never see Futaba's. I get that her little buff cut-in uses a nicer model than the standard field ones, but it's just so....lazy. Good lord, does Yusuke rock those space-pants though.

A lot of Goro's DLC outfits stand out cause they have him (fittingly) be Jun or Hazama or other contrasting characters to the rest of the party. The Catherine DLC is also very good cause everyone gets a distinct look rather than just everyone wear the high school uniform. Like, would they let someone not the Best Boy wear a white tux? dont think so

I'm kind of miffed that so many people are buying these overpriced outfit packs because it's most likely gonna mean that more of Atlus' games will pull these shenanigans in the future. Remember in P4 Golden where every character had like 15 different outfits and they were all just available in the game? That was nice  But I respect y'all's right to make dumb, dumb decisions with your money.

None of the P4 Golden costumes were callbacks to previous games other than the Gekkoukan High outfits, and there's an in-game reason you can get them. I don't like the microtransactions either (the swimsuits being free DLC is especially dumb rather than being baked into the game), but until they have a lot of P5-related costumes as DLC, like a Sojiro costume or something, I'm not going to complain too much.

making a 3d model is more than 6 bucks of work, and for a pack of 8 of them with an mp3 is pretty good imo theyre not even the predatory kind of microtransactions because they have no bearing on the gameplay

Plus all of the in-game outfits are free, the only bump is that it's delivered via DLC instead of integrated into the game, but it's hardly worth complaining about. EDIT: I've certainly got what I felt was my money's worth with the costumes I've purchased.

I accidentally killed the reaper the first time. I went in on a flu day and didn't realise what was happening until I jumped like 15 levels. I mean I then proceeded to kill him like 5 times on the same day to get an ungodly boost and ended the game at like level 85, but I am going to hold off killing him until after I clear out the 7th palace this time around. That way I can enjoy it and then just go and become an ungodly leveled kill machine, before fusing everything in the compendium.

Yeah basically whatever one else said. $8 for eight new character models and a new battle theme is pretty solid. There's nothing forcing my hand to get them other than how rad everyone looks and I'm a little dumb sometimes. The Dancing All Night/Catherine packs are def the best value too versus the high school uniforms on everyone. Some of the new battle themes are even remixes so there's def work into them. If anything the DLC Personas were a bit eyebrow raising, but I never felt like I needed them and the designs weren't even that great imo. I could see the Updated Persona 5 Re-Release adding in other dumb costumes too like Featherman costumes or Velvet Room attendant costumes too. As far as DLC options go "Give us like $10 for costumes" barely registers when put up against other avenues.

If companies care about being fair they'd shut down mobage and their terrible gachapons in F2P MMOs. Out of the DLC I would say the personas give the least value/cost other than breaking the game. I bought Catherine, Raidou, and P3/4 sets. I resisted the urge for DAN, Secret Agent, and SMTIV despite Yusuke looking amazing in the last one. Also, butler/maid is out in June

This isn't exactly what you're asking, but it's worth mentioning that two confidants have to be finished about a month early for plot reasons: ~~Sun~~ and Temperance.

Hmm, it doesn't seem like I can pass one shot kill from Seth down to Trumpeter. My plan was basically Seth + Debilitate, but I guess that's out. It also seems like he doesn't have as much Strength. What should I do with Trumpeter?
