He's not great but he's 23, an RFA right now and they can sign him for cheap. The Canucks picked him up on waivers and I kinda grew to like the guy. Taking somebody like Gudbranson, Sutter, or Sbisa actively hurts the team, so I think they just go with the safe young guy option.

Benning can't protect both Sbisa and Gudbranson, I think dorsett is still on IR so doesn't need to be? (if I remember correctly)

Since we're getting rid of third/alternate jerseys next season, it's all going to be really minor stuff like removing piping or making a third jersey a home jersey or something. They already confirmed none of the primary logos are being changed.

Rob Mixer, who worked with the CBJ, said they wouldn't be making the cannon logo primary as there's too much of everything invested in the star and burgee logo (and I'm fine with that). Which makes no sense to me.. don't clothing manufacturers make money by selling stuff their customers want? If a team asks for 15 different jersey styles, why the hell do they get to say no? Just send a quote for the cost and let the customer decide if they want to pony up.
