I was genuinely surprised when a bunch of people I know who don't really see/talk about movies were talking about Lucy so considering my past missteps I have faith that Valerian will make $$$

...no but they're great. I mean not all the shows are winners, like any other studio/network, but they've backed a lot of really great stuff and there a really nice content platform.

got any sevens posted:Why did castlevania always use Belmont boys instead of Helsings? Copyright issue? The first Castlevania used all sorts of wacky names inspired by actual people in the credits. Belmont is derived from "Belmondo" (as in: Jean-Paul). I guess it stuck as they started making sequels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3Ckh_VqB2w&t=35s Mierenneuker fucked around with this message at 10:58 on May 25, 2017 |

I mean, Netflix does kinda suck now, especially compared to just a few years ago. It's basically just another subpar cable movie channel now.

# ? May 25, 2017 15:43 |

You can basically stream one movie a week, and virtually any movie you want, all by yourself, for roughly the same price as a subscription to Netflix. It's pretty funny.

Even if all their other original content was trash the fact that they made Bong Joon Ho's next film would make up for it. Beasts of No Nation was also Netflix, as is Scorsese's next film.

Netflix isnt a great service but neither are like any of the streaming services and premium channels. Whenever I have Netflix or hbo I always marvel at how much less good content & content in general they have than I expected. Not really worth their costs no But hell, these days everyone's sharing Netflix accounts anyways and they're also at least putting funding into some fun projects, so imo Netflix is just fine.

It's been like, two months since 13 Reasons Why came out but yeah since then Netflix has totally nosedived in content value at least until their next groundbreaking movie or TV show comes out (which will be in two days when War Machine comes out). But I mean they don't release enough original content, just all of this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_original_programs_distributed_by_Netflix
