Yet where is that woman now? Tell me, in what heave does she reside? None of them. Because no God bothered to listen or care. If that is what you think it means to be a God, then you and all your teachings are welcome to do as that poor women did. And vanish from these realms forever.
I just made a thread on Conan the Barbarian. Thought some people here might like it.

I was hoping for some serious political stuff starring Nu Mou and Moogles.

It wavered between silly and serious depending on who was taking the spotlight. And I think everyone became more serious as the game went on and we had exhausted our various gimmicks and personalities became less one-note. Either way, fun on a bun.

It's a good FATE iteration. But it absolutely requires the right player group, and honestly way more GM-work than a lot of other settings. It's hard to do discovery and puzzles without a solid long term gameplan

It's not bad, but I don't think it's great either. It also has a lot of stuff about the Mist setting which isn't bad but unless you are interested in learning about the D'ni (I'm not) is a waste of space. I would probably just use Atomic Robo's brainstorming and Invention system if I wanted to run something similar.

I'm rewatching John Wick 2 and man I love its worldbuilding so much. There must be a campaign setting out there about assassin hotel world.

fool_of_sound posted:

Plutonis ran a Final Fantasy Tactics in Strike! game that me and several other people played in. It was more silly FFTA2 adventures than serious political stuff, and was super fun. It was also the only goon game I've ever been in that managed a full campaign with basically the same people.

I started a new one but on FFD6 and it's on an original setting and I'm having fun with it! The players are all anti-heroes who work for the evil expansionist empire!

So, I'm moving and due to complicated but really boring reasons my parents were helping me. During a lull apparently my dad just started leafing through my copy of Unknown Armies.

He's a nerd too and reads that kind of fiction, and he knows I play nerdgames, but we just had a long and bizarre conversation about What The gently caress Is That Book?!?!?

Explaining the concept of personally apocalyptic horror instead of just killing orcs to my dad was interesting.

I have nothing to add but I thought that was hilarious.

What's the current version on FFD6? I remember looking at it a year or so ago and being pretty unimpressed but maybe I was wrong/things changed

My father was a huge D&D player and all but that was basically all he knew, so I had to kinda walk him through the idea of cyberpunk fantasy mashup when he saw some of my Shadowrun stuff. It's interesting, with the blend of niche poo poo in this kinda community to start with and the sudden boom in digital distribution and all things went from 'there's D&D and maybe if you're getting fancy stuff like Champions or you can check out what Jeff's been writing and swearing at in his binder for the past little bit...' to 'yea you can find a game for being a dwarf with a shotgun who moonlights as a pro wrestler in mad max post-apocalypse settings'

1.3, here http://www.mediafire.com/file/yibrve1l1x65e3i/FFd6_v1.3.pdf. It really looks clunky at a first look but the system is legit when I actually run it and it has the easiest monster creation rules I saw on a system.

One. It goes Fighter 1/Rogue 2/Cleric 3/Wizard etc etc as this reflects Elminster: the Making of a Mage, where he was doing a bunch of 2e dual classing.

I signed up for it and got the 28mm Kirk and Picard figures, but never actually received the playtest materials! I heard bad things about the skill test system being used at first, but apparently these were addressed later on. Supposedly it's looking quite good.

I'm a bit nervous about the lack of hype though.

There's only one thing in the mountains that leaves a track like this. The creature of legend that roams the Timberline. My people named him Sasquatch. You call him... Bigfoot.
I signed up for it and apparently the emails with the actual playtest materials were blocked by my spam filter so by the time I actually got them to go over the feedback period was already pretty much over.

The sample adventure was pretty much formula Trek: A planet where people start turning into whatever the equivalent for cave men was for their species and a race against time to develop a cure.
