Thank you, Chad-Squad (tm) for allowing Chad-prime to escape the nightmare. Best thing was that I didn't realize there were other Chads until the clowncar-cabin encounter. EDIT: Oh yeah, almost forgot; HOT PRO TIP: If you are carrying important items and are not in a position to use them, you can use the "z" key to drop whatever you have equipped, preferably near where the item will be used or somewhere a counselor can find them You tap "z" to drop small items, hold it to drop large stuff. Jason doesnt get sense off the bat iirc so you want to just loot those asap. Unless you're super slow and caught in a 1 door cabin you should always be able to juke a fresh Jason that cant warp around. I was just in a game where I couldn't find a escape item. Keys, gas, propeller, battery, not 1. I was the only one left alive and none of my teammates found any either. I found like 4 of their corpses. Are there alternative middle of nowhere spawns for them or something?

I'm loving the bargaining between counselors and Jason. This one dude, every time he'd get cornered, he'd offer good intel on where to find other players. It paid off with multiple kills, until the stool pigeon tried to escape in a car with two friends. Deal voided. Edit: last survivor attempted to bargain for a "quick death" and shot Jason in the face with the flare gun. This is beautiful. Grey Fox fucked around with this message at 08:57 on May 28, 2017 |

Also EffEmmEll for PS4 goons. I've actually found more parties and people that stick around and chat between matches in this game than any other.

Bums me out so hard playing a load of games as a counsellor knowing that when I spawn as Jason the game will dump me out. The only thing I can think of is all the spectators watching me must bugger up the connection maybe? According the the stats page I've only got 3 or so kills as Jason under my belt.

I agree the shift/grab IS a bit ott at the moment*, but I don't know how zombie Jason's would deal with out. Even injured and exhausted the kids stagger away quicker than you will ever move and they rarely trip(Not just AJ). *But isn't Jason MEANT to be anyway? For all my moaning I adore this game so much.

Axetrain posted:I hate to say this but I have been having way more success with speed/stam characters like Vanessa than stealth type characters. You make a racket but if Jason detects you then you actually stand a chance of getting away, where AJ seems pretty well hosed if Jason finds you. You have stealth but the house you're in still lights up like a Christmas tree so it's kind of only useful for skulking it through the woods. I think it's just hard for me to tell exactly how much composure and stealth actually reduce how detectable I am where running faster for longer is a very real and immediately understood useful advantage. Even if Jason wants to focus on me Vanessa can at least play cabin roulette with him for a long while and waste alot of his time before getting killed, doubly so if you luck into a pocket knife and or flare gun. As far as I can tell from the little sound indicator bubble on the minimap, stealth at 6 gives you stealth-jog where you're as quiet as a guy below stealth 5 walking. Stealth at 9/10 gives you stealth-sprint. Lighting houses up is tied to composure. You need to be very aware of your fear management as the stealth guys. Avoiding bodies, always going on trails, always having your flashlight on, and chilling in hiding spots to recover composure. The trick to the stealth/composure guys is to not be found in the first place, or to slip away while someone in your group is killed.

Does anyone know how to control yourself when you are shifting as Jason? Or how to stop shifting ahead of time? I keep shifting and then flying off into the distance with no way to stop moving

Maybe make it so the more scared and injured a counselor is the harder it is for them to break free? Right now it doesn't feel like a chase half the time. You're grabbed and insta-gibbed with the throat squeeze animation. I'd like to see a system in place that pays for Jason to stalk and terrorize people and give him a reason to use different kills or environmental kills. Maybe each execution has a cool down or limit too so Jason wants his grip to be a lot harder to escape so he has time to get to environmental kills? I dunno right now the strongest way to play Jason is also the most boring for both parties involved

The only real issue is, with 7/8 other people, it's real hard to get a good intimate stalk on. Also if everyone is grouped up, it's SUPER hard to actually kill any of them unless you just wear them down of all their weapons and they haven't run from you for some reason. Chad Patrol was so successful against me entirely because they kept putting me back down and I couldn't deal with them as a group. Well that and the police corridor on that one road is made of magic and bullshit and there is absolutely no way to keep people from escaping down it.

You can also juke the tele-grab by moving around like a crazy person if save your stamina until he shifts, so it's not like it's a guarantied kill.

The goal is to scare the piss out of them and THEN kill them, which makes for more dynamic gameplay. It would be cool if F13 implemented a similar thing but I don't see it happening soon. The closest thing would be a big point boost for using environmental kills.

I think walk Jasons should have the teleport grab but the run ones should have a 2 second cooldown before they can grab since they can just melee you anyways. Also hot tip: put your bear traps behind what you're gonna juke jason around. Too many times I've seen him walk in, get trapped, and block the exit.

Also, I think you get bonus points for each new kill, not just doing the same one over and over. I wish the game told you how long you had to grip someone before you could use one of your signature kills. I've had people escape just cause I wanted to cut their arms off instead of some lame choke out.
