may won the leadership by hiding in a cupboard while the other candidates disemboweled each other and then themselves, i guess she's going back to what works for her

i understand why it happens but it's still surreal to see such a catastrophic government get such support

tories 2010-present are at least the worst government since the suez crisis and depending on what happens with scotland might end up being the worst since the great war

It turns out you're willing to forgive a lot when the government is unabashedly supporting your class interests.

the stupid format of this debate was because cameron knew he was bad at them too and by sticking loads of people on stage he would never get stuck lol

as someone not super familiar with U.K. politics,
1) if the Tories receive more votes by a slim margin, is it possible they lose seats relative to now but maintain a majority? or does Labour need to win more votes to make any gains?
2) how likely is that scenario i.e. that Labour pick up seats but fall short of a majority?

1) The Tories majority is 6, they can lose seats and still get a majority but not many.

2) fairly likely, Labour are looking almost certain to increase their vote share on 2010 and 2015, so could pick up a few seats. However, the absence of any real third party makes that all up in the air as there was the Lib Dems in 2010 and UKIP in 2015 to split votes. It's entirely possible that Labour increase their share of the vote but lose seats (as they did in 2015).

yeah. don't know how they're defined in the UK but that's a small business by any reasonable definition. corbyn of course also took a better strategy of making an argument and trying to appeal to the guy.
