Not to be That Guy, but I'm pretty sure anthracite coal is an additive to some brands of charcoal briquette, which I believe is what this guy was trying to say with "some charcoal has anthracite coal" but could have been, like, phrased intelligently.

Most likely! If my quick check is accurate, Kingsford uses anthracite in their briquettes. I exclusively use expensive-rear end lump charcoal because I can taste/smell nearly any additive and it's scary.
