It's a whistle from one pack of dogs to another. the actually-existing four point educational template seems to be quote:- democracy which is something! it's not nothing. there are many places that openly rejected or reject one or more of these, even (or rather especially) today. but it comes off as if nothing in Britain has happened since 1911.

How is democracy a British value when we have centuries of that not being the case. I think it's more like: - ripping the piss out of the religious - drunkenness at work - fake insincerity

ronya posted:the actually-existing four point educational template seems to be I'd say the problem is that while some places might not even accept all of these points, they are also so broad that depending on your interpretation they can be contradictory (I'm mostly thinking of the first three points here). It's meaningless as abstract principle and moving any of them to how Britain actually does any of them opens them up to complete legitimate criticisms about how badly it does them and so it should be acceptable to reject them. Yeah see this is closer to the mark: jBrereton posted:How is democracy a British value when we have centuries of that not being the case. I think it's more like: spectralent posted:Queues.

I've been very impressed with Emily Thornberry over the past couple of weeks. Is there a compelling reason why she couldn't/shouldn't be the next leader of the Labour party if Corbyn goes after the election? Would Pissflaps approve? (White Van Flag Thing doesn't count).

Trying to find a youtube link, it's being shared around facebook a lot but they said she was lying with claims that this is the most police we've had on the streets and that if it happened anywhere else in the country the response delay would have lead to disaster as the cuts have stretched forces too thin. found it herehttps://www.facebook.com/EalingLabour4Corbyn dispatch_async posted:I assume you are talking about this: Thanks for the twitter link.
