Don't know how much difference can be made. I gained a small amount of faith in the British public when Manchester didn't immediately result in a poll bounce for May/UKIP, I'm just hoping it doesn't get taken away again. By not making clear that he was answering a generic question about a shoot to kill policy, rather than having one during a terrorist attack?

Papers are starting to come out with their official endorsements:

So far:

Sunday Times: Conservatives
Guardian: Labour (strongly so)
Economist: Lib Dems (but reluctantly so)
FT: Conservatives (but doesn't like May)

Sunday papers are all Tory except Sunday Mirror which is Labour. The rest of the dailies haven't formally endorsed yet. I'll be interested to see The Times (they don't always endorse the same as Sunday Times), as they've been pretty critical of May recently (although I suspect they'll revert to type and back her anyway).
