Surely between the kickstarter and sales they now have the cash to contemplate DLC.

A fourth map is what we need more than anything.

And unbork Jason 7 and 8 or fix the running regen on Vanessa.

The Theatrical version basically had that be a never ending softcore sex scene for virtually no goddamn reason.

The Killer Cut actually gave it a purpose, though it was still pretty gratuitous.

I've only seen the theatrical that one time when it was released. I also subsequently worked on another show with that actress. It was hard to get that scene out of mind. Every time I see her in something, I think "perfect nipple placement."

break the power boxes. If the cabin doesn't have light, then they will slowly gain fear. If they're in a cabin on a stealth character when the lights go out, then you'll likely hear them say something.

I ONLY just figured this out, so maybe others missed it as well, but you can "sprint" with the slow Jasons the way you can with parts 2 and 3.

Ok, sprint is a strong word... But the power walk and since finding that out I've had no problems chasing people down. I've stopped shift/grabbing entirely because it's entirely valid to wear them down AND keep pace once they're tired/scared enough.

Ah. Check out the Killer Cut some time, I think it's the only version you can see now.
During that extended sex scene, the sister character escaped from Jason, and she was running for the window where they were loving.

It was actually a really tense scene because it kept cutting back and forth until Jason nabs her at the last moment.

It adds a few scenes like that, and gives Jason some really good characterization that he didn't get in the theatrical cut.

There's a moment where Jason is sharpening his machete, the same one used to kill his mom, and he has a flash back to her death and just freaks the gently caress out. He can only calm down when he stares at the locket, because he knows the girl isn't his mom, but she reminds him of her.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLw-J2SlO48

This is a kind of poor re-edit of the scene, but it gets the idea across. It's a neat bit of character moment.

Not a ton, but that's kinda the risk you take. Check the edges of the map and liberally use stalk to try and not alert them to where you are. Like others said make sure you destroy the powerboxes and keep tabs on the phone cabin. Sometimes you are just gonna get eluded though.

It's also the best reason to eviscerate AJ early on. There's quite a few areas where she can skulk in that won't tank her fear to any meaningful degree as long as her touch is on, so she can crouch in the bushes (ooh-er...) and stay out of Sense's reach.

Mostly a case of extending your search area. Eventually she'll flag up.

Yea if I see a chance to grab an AJ early on I will go for it because:

A. She isn't very fast and doesn't have a ton of stamina, so you have a good shot at actually catching her

and

B. She's one of the main threats as far as repair is concerned, once there's only Vanessas left you don't really have to worry about that phone or car battery.

Your instinct is correct. Adam is the best.

I have a perk on Adam where he's 20% more likely to stun Jason, I'm regularly getting hits on Jason multiple times per round now. Plus he's got solid repair skill that makes him far from useless there as well. I've had a bunch of rounds where I repaired the phone and called the police, then went and acted as the primary escort for everyone escaping. Adam's got it all, he is a cool dude.

Re: stretch goal stuff

The devs have said that Pamela's concept will require either a unique map for her or a rework of existing maps in some major way, so they have something interesting in mind I'm sure.

As for rights issues, the only two movies they can't pull from are Freddy VS Jason and the remake. Everything else seems to be fair game.

The map most likely to happen next is probably the Abandoned Camp map, since it would build off a lot of existing assets, but the devs seem really excited about doing a Manhattan map so I'd expect that to be the first major (multiplayer) update to the game, with Jason X as the second. They want to support and add lots of stuff long term.

Single player mode is the big focus right now, I think? Which is you playing as Jason and murdering teens. But it's not a simple bot match mode, it's supposed to be story-driven and unique.

i would much, much rather have multiple more maps that just reuse assets than anything else. I am starting to memorize them and having more layouts would keep things fresh.

Hell, in a perfect world you could procedurally generate the levels, but that would be a huge undertaking and something for a sequel game.

With Adam you want to get moving right away and try to accomplish something in the first 5 minutes before Jason's all revved up. Then once you have a map and things are developing, head over to where other counselors are and team up with as many as you can. By the ten minute mark nobody is really hiding from Jason anyway, so at that point your strength and ability to actually fight back is really valuable to the team.

Adam is loud as hell but he works well if you play him as a tank. Just grab a bat, try to fix something then gently caress up Jason when you see him.

Also not enough love for Deborah. She's fast, she's stealthy and she's got great repair. You want her running around if you're playing counselors.

I've had a couple matches come down to me and Jason as both AJ and Deborah. If you play it smart you can sometimes survive while actually finding stuff towards the end but it ain't easy.

The actual stereotype, which is accurate, is that black people are almost never the final survivors and rarely make it to the third act in slashers or creature features. This is partly a result of these kinds of movies mostly being a bunch of white people, and the fact that black leads are still to this day a difficult sell to studios.

Frankly black guys tend to give Jason the hardest fight of anyone not named Tommy or a Final Girl. Or at least be super hard to kill.

Dude from Part 3 survived getting brained the first time around, dude in Part 8 got to go a few rounds with Jason, and the absolute badass in X survived Jason attempting to kill him and fought him into the atmosphere.

It's been repeated a billion times and I'm really not sure where it started because most of the slashers of the 80s (at least early on) were fairly lily white as far as cast is concerned. That would have made for a much more interesting FvJ than what we actually got. Then again I'm all about survivor characters going kinda nuts and hunting down the villain.

I'm still kinda bummed Peter Jackson's draft of Final Nightmare was scrapped. I thought the idea of Freddy being so weak that teenagers are purposefully dragging themselves to sleep to go beat up the boogeyman would have been an interesting premise.

Also probably a lot better than what we got with Freddy's Dead.
