Showing sympathy to Qatar in the UAE is punishable with 15 years in prison or 500,000 of their funny money

Woah, Kansas finally reached the breaking point. I guess it takes literally years of ceaseless suffering, including years of draconian cuts to education, for Republicans to admit that enormous tax cuts don't bring prosperity.

Late but it's even worse than that. If I'm reading right the FBI was already in Doha investigating this when everything went down and Trump opened his dumb mouth. I guess there's a chance the FBI or the NSC didn't think they had enough to brief Trump on the hack yet, but more likely is he skipped or ignored the briefing. Or (comedy option/not comedy option) they're not briefing Trump on Russia hacks because he's compromises.

I'm guessing that Handel is throwing her signs up everywhere in some hope that she can make her base of support look huge and drive turnout. Isn't there a statistic out there that people like voting for a winning team, so when your candidate shows a better chance of winning you get higher turnout?

We come spinning out of nothingness, scattering stars like dust.

I mean Qatar has sea access, is KSA going to blow up or stop food shipments into the country? What happens if those food shipments come back with Iranian escorts? What happens if starving people start showing up at our military base or bombs start flying with 11,000 US military right outside Doha? Very messy, and the CiC is going to be too busy tweeting at Comey to intervene.

No deepwater ports. There is no way for the US to fix this. As in we need diplomats and a functioning state department to fix this problem, and they don't exist.

KSA is demanding the control of the sovereignty. Either they agree and become a vassal and the current leadership is killed or imprisioned OR KSA invades.

This seems to be on the same level as Austria's demands 1914- they want to invade.

A man who is known for taking meticulous notes and generally performs very well in front of congress.... is giving testimony about his interactions with someone who is notoriously lax about norms and word choice. The same man has spent the few months alternating between cajoling him and trying to fight him.

Comey's an absolute fucker and should have been fired for the reason that Trump gave as a pretext, but I'm not going to blame anyone for being excited for Thursday. It's 50/50 that Comey's public testimony will wind up being the bulk of publicly available information regarding administration interference with the investigations: Mueller is under no obligation to release any of his findings publicly, especially if he decides not to pursue charges.

All the evidence point to Comey being an idealistic naive moron, rather than being a partisan poo poo. He and Mueller once put up a united front and threatened GWB that they would both resign (Mueller was FBI director) and cause a political shitstorm if he did.... something I forget about.

But anyway, he thought he was doing the right thing with Hillary. He's wrong and an idiot, but he now loving hates Trump and wants to burn him.
