In fairness, if you were Jon Lansman, Jon Lansman would be sitting on Twitter bemoaning about how the Labour left just don't want to win elections despite all evidence to the contrary, like any number of other worthless Blairite shills who have failed to wrap their head around the fact that maybe Labour can win without rushing for a centre ground that has moved so far right.

Just remember what the change from Old to New Labour did to overall voter turnout:

http://www.ukpolitical.info/Turnout45.htm

Corbyn is the revival of the Old brought about by the young and god drat it even a continued return to the mean should bring so much back to Labour.

Which working class MP would you want as leader?

Definitely need to do about getting more normal humans into parliament & less wonkish SPAD types of barely-humans.

On the plus side it's going to make our generation gap even wider and more vicious after old people vote to gently caress the young and poor over even if it means loving themselves. So, uh, yay?

I've just sent a last ditch email detailing some of the bad things to my parentals, hoping to pull them back from the brink of voting Tory. Feels odd having to recommend they vote Lib Dem, but I guess that's FPTP for you!

Speaking of the MP background thing, "has s/he done a proper job?" is a thing I've heard a lot and here's things I've learned aren't proper jobs:

- Youth hostel manager
- Biomedical scientist
- Negotiator, of any sort
- "Gigs"
- Law
- Teaching assistants

Absoutely 0% by the Tories and Lib Dems, miniscule by Labour, same as during Brexit.

I'm just depressed because Corbyn's clearly just a good man that wants to help people and he's bringing a positive, hopeful message - and what's gonna happen is the general population will spit in his face and his own party will try to stab him in the back again. There's just no justice.

Hello friends, it's me again to imbue you with more hope about tomorrow: we broke the record for voter registrations set by the EU referendum last year with the vast majority of new registrations being 18-34 year olds. The youth turnout for the EU referendum was 63%, the best polls for Labour are giving a youth turnout of 50%. This might be good for Jeremy Corbyn.
