The BBC spent most of the week telling people that Corbyn was opposed to shooting terrorists that were in the process of stabbing people. It's hardly a surprise that it's knocked back Labour's numbers.

This is only 3% worse for Labour than the last poll they did so it's not that much different.

If you're somebody who woke up this morning thinking that Labour might be able to form a government after the election i'm not sure what these polls are showing that would make you change your mind now. They're not much different to the last ones.

If you were optimistic then stay optimistic.

About as long as it takes to find his comfy slippers and pipe and heads down to the allotment, putting his feet up on a marrow and tweeting "Welp gg"

In all seriousness though, still go and vote and maybe the dream of hung parliament / liberal coalition with LD/Greens/SNP could congeal.

Not that I don't love a bit of doomsaying but we also had a poll with a 5 point swing to labour and a 10 point Tory lead halved, with the others all at +/-1 to their lasts. I don't think the polls today are much worse than they were before, and a 6 point Tory lead is the baseline for 2015 level results, any less than that would be a disaster for May
